Terraria is a pretty sweet game and I had loads of fun before I pretty much completed the entire game which took me around 70 hours ish, but if you like Terraria you might want to check out Starbound. It is online capable but you need to forward the servers port (7777 for example) in your router settings to your PCs IP address, then anyone can access it if you give them your external ip address/port number.

I'm getting randomly d/ced a lot and unable to connect for periods of time (20-30 minutes) not sure if this is just me or the whole game.

The only server I can log onto right now is Graal Kingdoms, but only on an older version of v6

I don't see how you're all so surprised. In fact I log in expecting to be disconnected or unable to play.
