tl;dr
Don't make me laugh. Yes, it is copyright infringement. If you went to court and said it was made from scratch and has differences over and over you'd lose that lawsuit so fast your head would spin.

Don't call us idiots because we found your previous answers to be completely and utterly wrong (and they are). I was just trying to help, because I've seen servers with potential go down in a heartbeat because of stolen/copyrighted content, and I'm pretty tired of there being no new servers going anywhere. But if you're going to repeat the same wrong reply to our posts trying to help you not get yourself in trouble, and then insult us, then I really have no hope for your server.

Now that the rudeness is out of me, I will say again, and clearly:

It is a dev server. The server is locked, so no one can see what we are using and not using, changing, ect. Those are temp images. We are just using them as placeholders for now to make levels, because we dont have but one or two that can do gfx, but that is not their job on the server. We will be changing everything complained about. Like I stated in the newest post for an actual update to this server, they are placeholders, it is not released to the public, so there is no reason to say:

Figures I calm down and here we go.

Those images were probably up for about 1-2 hours that Dusty posted.
Enough said. I've already done a nice long post about how you guys keep going and going, but those and many more arn't even on the tileset anymore. I did some gfx myself, as well as the owner. Again, they are going to be changed, are placeholders, ect ect.

The problem in this case, besides the advertising while still using ripped graphics, even if just placeholders, is most of the tileset are just copy/paste so how can you tell what is placeholder and what's not?

BTW, you arn't trying to help, youre trying to argue. If it was help you wanted to offer, then offer and let it be. You are also completely and utterly wrong. Go pop on the server and try to find those images Dusty posted. You should have done this a week ago or whenever the argument started.

On the quote, you can tell what's a placeholder and what is not when the server is done. Apparently, as I've constantly been saying, you can only see OSL right now and for the past month, and thats all a graal player should be concerned about. Notice also how he has said he does it too, just no screens. That treetop is the same shape as the old graal2001 treetop, the only thing remotely similiar to zelda is the very tip of the tree, as far as I was told. Regardless, its a placeholder too, and everyone can know this, because I told them. Easy as that.

Zelda link to the past tree is posted below. Go look at ours again. A simple reason I said idiots...it's pretty different.

Again, I request that you both stop, as this is not a thread for debate on server images.

coreys 12-01-2009 08:13 PM

If it's gone from the tileset than you should have said so before calling us idiots and making yourself look like a douchebag.

DustyPorViva 12-01-2009 08:25 PM

Zelda has more than one tree:
http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/ze...Dark_World.png
You seem to be either very unaware of where your graphics are coming from, about the graphics of Zelda, or just trying to cover it up.

sssssssssss 12-01-2009 08:28 PM

Well then that will be changed too. Didn't realize the tree, my bad.

And I did constantly try to tell you guys it wasn't there, go look for yourselves, you should back yourselves up, ect ect. The tree is the only thing that has been used.

-_- I shouldn't have to cover your butt for you.

Sorry about the tree, that is too close for what we want. It will be changed. All the other awsome stuff has never been, or will be used, as I've stated more than once.

sssssssssss 12-01-2009 08:31 PM

Again, from the get go, I appreciate the tree thing now, but for the 3rd or 4th time, you guys know rules on keeping on topic with threads, this is not so. You could have simply done all this in PM's. Stop breaking the rules on the forums please, I do not want to have to request to close this because of it being completely off topic. Mind you 2 pages of off topic posts, and numerous requests of the creator of the thread to stop and get on topic.

Have you decided how your war system going to work yet?

sssssssssss 12-01-2009 08:37 PM

Yes, its actually finished. Was meaning to post on it.

Basically, Any guild that has registered on the server (global guilds only) can go into a gmap that is going to show the guilds with the top 5 kills for this event. You get a kill for killing anyone else in any other guild. It will also show your guilds kills to let you know where you are. Its kind of simple, but a constant war zone for guilds, much like any pk arena for normal pking, but keeps up with guild kills and ranks them accordingly.

There is also a regular war system. Any guild can start it, it has to be accepted by the other guild that has a member with "access" online, access is set by the guild leaders. There also has to be at least 3 people on in each guild for it to start. They can set any kill amount they want above 50 i think it is. It will warp them in a safe room, and pops a gui for all guild members on both sides to join that are online at the time. We are working on getting it to work when other members get online, and people who set the tag later if they were online already. Don't know if we want to add a member limit, as some jerk members can take advantage of that.

Mostly everything with the guilds, except guild quests and special events, are complete. Really, we should be ready for hosted soon, within the month.

Any feedback or ideas to incorporate are appreciated.

It'd be cool to have a site dedicated to LMS-style war. Keeps options open for how guild leaders want the war to be played out. Just a suggestion.

i'm going to go more in-depth about the systems for everyone: we have four systems for guild wars that we have designed and will attempt to implement onto the server. we have gates, guild war gmap, abyss war, and the regular war (we actually need a better name for this system)

a quick summary of each type of system:

gates- if you've seen my guild wars thread (http://forums.graal2001.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=86395) you'll be familiar with this system. we've worked the gates out to be unrepairable, and we will try to have multiple maps for this event

abyss war- a separate gmap from the main islands of the server will contain a 24/7 PKing zone for global guilds to participate in. it counts the number of kills a guild has and shows the top 5. daily, rewards for being number one at certain times will yield guild prizes

regular war- guilds get locked into a room where they battle it out in an attempt to reach a certain amount of kills before the other guild does. guilds can agree beforehand as to how many kills they will try to attain

guild war gmap- this is a larger project that we may not be able to create in time. however, it is an interesting idea and we still wish to make it in time. a separate gmap, it will contain the global guild houses on the server, and allow guilds to battle it out try to capture (and possibly destroy) each others guild houses. we don't know how we will go about really implementing this into the server yet, so it is an open concept

overall in all the systems, each will be able to be accessed at any time as long as at least three players from the respective guild is online, and a guild leader or player with permission from the leader to start wars from each guild is present. guilds will register into the server's database themselves before warring, and we want them rank guild members accurately, and according to the global guild registry on the graal online website (at least somewhat accordingly). we don't want new recruits starting wars that leaders don't wish to fight

if players log off or disconnect in the middle of wars (since having a certain number of people online is important) we have thought of two ways to deal with it justly: 1) have the side with not enough players forfeit adding to a separate number in the profile to show for it, or 2) have the game pause allowing the guild with insufficient members to either log back on or get someone else into play before a certain amount of time runs out, which will result in a loss

in the database guilds register in, players will be able to check statistics of guilds in each event. our goal is to give guilds a very important role in having fun on the server - we don't want to push very elitist ideals onto guilds, but we do want them to matter. if you join a guild that disallows any other guild tags, and then that guild losses 20 matches in a row, if people quit because of it then that guild is finished, and it will show

we also want to make the systems fun - we are trying to have a good amount of variety of styles while still offering that core concept of PKing or taking over. we also wanted to keep them simple, both on a creation basis and in a implementation basis - it should be easy to get into

depends on the type of event won. it could be as simple as receiving a lump sum of money, or as complicated as receiving a guild house

sssssssssss 12-02-2009 01:20 AM

We're also thinking of implementing guild coins, and using those coins to buy things for a guild house (such as more guild house hp, gates, special rooms, ect), mass guild weapons (which will be simple or complex weapons for guild members only), expand amount of guild hats and images, ect ect. Ideas on this anyone? This server is being made for us, and all of you, so ideas are necessary. :)

maximus_asinus 12-02-2009 01:32 AM

this is completely off topic, but how are you guys going to handle AP? Are you using the AP restrictions, or are you going to use AP at all?
