For people w/ broadband the music will take a couple minutes...I believe it is optional.

A couple minutes that I don't have.
But I can't see what's checked and unchecked because the setup is messed up. =/

Xxmatt3xX: Hey man I got a simple Question
Xxmatt3xX: How many Kilabytes are in a Megabyte X-x
Up1nSm0k3: better be simple
Xxmatt3xX: lol
Up1nSm0k3: 1000
Xxmatt3xX: kk

Koo

Darn it I thought since kila is 1k mega is 1 mill so...hmmm well I dunno I guess you're right lol.

adam 05-20-2002 11:38 AM

8 bits = 1 byte
1024 bytes = 1 kilobyte
1024 kilobytes = 1 megabyte
1000 megabytes = 1 gigabyte

Trust me, this is the stuff I goto school to learn.

KJL 05-20-2002 11:39 AM

ok to be exact there is
1024 kilobytes in 1 megabyte

1024 bytes per kilobyte

1024 megabytes per gigabyte

its pretty close to 1000 but if you want to figure out exactly or whatever

Krakken 05-20-2002 11:40 AM

1024KB in 1MB

actually by convention there are 1000 megabytes in a gigabytes.

It's strange but it's true.
When Terrabytes become the standard harddrive size it will be
1024 megabytes in a gigabyte.
and it will be
1000 gigabytes in a terrabyte.

Artificial_Sweetener 05-20-2002 11:41 AM

So if this is true.. It should only take around 3 mins

well humm because when I do the math on my computer (with the ammount of space left and junk for how many megabytes I have and bytes I just divid it by 1024 3 times and it gives me the number it tells me on my computer for gigabytes
