Tim_Rocks 03-04-2012 04:07 AM

Well that's simple, my name is Tim and I rock.

Gotta think availability, also don't think you can space your name anymore :C
Otherwise I'd say go for Vince Vaughn.

Also look em up, he's made by the creator of The Curse of Monkey Island.

I'm not going to post for the hundredth time about the origins of my account name, but it's pretty safe to say that I'm the only one still active that managed to wriggle "Admin" into their account name before it was filtered. That is, the only one still active and didn't have their account globally banned/deleted for trying to use the word "Admin" in a way that made it sound like their account was directly linked to being higher Graal Administration or anything like that. /funFact

Draenin 03-04-2012 10:36 AM

Dragon + Venin

Venin being a toxic substance often contained in venom. :D

(I also like it because it sounds like 'draining' and contains 'ae' which is in a lot of neat words.)

geneticfrog 03-11-2012 10:05 PM

I wanted a odd name.

seemed like a good idea at the time.

PowerProNL 03-11-2012 10:18 PM

I found PowerProNL in 2005 or 2006 and I was like 12 years old I had another account in 2003 but forgot it but ok. I was a kid so I was like: Power Pro and NL stands for Netherlands, where I born and raised up.

in 2010 I made a short version of my name: PPNL because I was lazy to type my whole name over but ok

(yes my Join Date on forums says 2008, but I was like 2/3 years Trial)

In Latin (where most English words are derived from) ae sounds like "i" so would't it sound like [dryning]?

---

My original name was Plasma Ninja (around 2003-4)

It was derived from this head http://i43.tinypic.com/34yqro8.png which was named plasma-head12.png and I thought it looked like a ninja.

UnkownSoldier is an example of my poor spelling in my early teens. I really regret having a typo for an account name.

That's not true in every situation. Otherwise these common words would sound very different:

'Aeroplane' -> 'Iroplane' (Correct: Ayr-oh-plane)
'Aerial' -> 'Irial' (Correct: Ayr-i-al)
'Aegis' -> 'Igis' (Correct: Ay-jis)
'Aqua Vitae' -> 'Aqua Viti' (Correct: A-kwah Vee-tay)
'Faerie' -> 'Firie' (Correct: Fay-rie)
'Aether' -> 'Ither' (Correct: Ay-thur)
'Sundae' -> 'Sundi' (Correct: Sun-day)
'Aerobic' -> 'Irobic' (Correct: Ayr-o-bic)

While I'm aware it sometimes makes that sound, it does not always make it.

It is true we do not pronounce Sundae as Sundi, because overtime our pronunciations have morphed. However, if we still spoke Latin it would sound exactly like Sundi. I'm not trying to be a troll or anything so forgive me if I come off as one. So you were correct, Draenin from an English perspective would sound like draining.

Devil_Lord2 03-12-2012 08:04 AM

I honestly don't know... I like evil.. But I don't think Harry Potter was out around year 2000...

Changed from my very first nickname my mother gave me, spyboy0
to spyboy100 to Devil Lord, to Dark Jester, to David K? (My Artist Signature).

Cow2001 03-12-2012 09:08 AM

Same. That account was actually originally mine but I suppose it was taken away because I never upgraded it. Awkward when I saw it posting here and wasn't able to log on x_x

Raeiphon 08-30-2012 03:00 PM

I tried to make an account name that was so indecisively pronounceable that people wouldn't even bother trying to say it. `aeiph` is a morpheme that isn't actually present in the human register in any languages that I know, at least. On top of that, it also looks somewhat legit as a word as well.

Unpredlctable 08-31-2012 02:29 AM

my friend told me he'd buy me a classic sub but only if i let him name it

Sky 08-31-2012 03:15 AM

I decided to read this as "Asians lactate orange juice.".
Hope that's cool.

scriptless 09-02-2012 08:25 AM

I kept losing my scripts :o (scriptless)

boolean 09-02-2012 08:54 AM

Wasn't really my choice. All users who had not registered during Graal's classic period (namely myself) were to have had their fate sealed, forever addressed by a seemingly random numeric. I guess I could dig it if I still had the asterisk next to my community name, but nope--deprived of that right too.

(seriously, graal# account names are depressing)

I just added the O's as vowels to make it sound better,
its pronounced Godoh.

I hate that explanation

You're just a single entity though. Not a team.

And here I was hoping you were referencing Phoenix Wright.
