Bwahahaha.
Sorry, I had to do this.

Galdor 06-10-2008 05:24 PM

Done some more on the texture, the whole tree only uses a 256 x 256 texture right now :) Could maybe be nice with some more color variations in the texture tho like in that wow screen with green moss and stuff xD

Crono 06-10-2008 06:11 PM

Looks nice.

Codein 06-10-2008 06:44 PM

Alright I have a problem... I was attempting to make the cocytus from zodiac on milk shape, and i am having trouble seeing the cocytus texture on the blade in which i intended to place it. It does place, but the accusal colors are not present within the dagger, its merely an outline of the dagger on the dagger.

First one is Cocytus Flat Shading
Second is The problem in Textured Mode.

(P.S I suggest you click on the black textured picture to see what I mean, Also Ignore that rock at the butt of the weapon, its only temporary)

Galdor 06-11-2008 04:22 PM

uhh well, try selecting the whole dagger and go to Face -> Reverse Vertex Order. Or just press "Ctrl + Shift + F" while the dagger is selected.

Galdor 06-12-2008 09:10 PM

Made some more on the tree. It needs some fixing on the colors tho xD It's a shadeless render as I was too lasy to set up lights and stuff xP

Chompy 06-12-2008 09:12 PM

That's just awesome. 100% awesome. :D

TheFisherman 06-12-2008 09:48 PM

I love you Galdor. If you aren't already, you should be making a Graal 3D server.

PS I STILL WANT TO SEE UPDATES ON GRAAL 3D

MrAnonymous_P2P 06-12-2008 10:48 PM

Nice.

Rufus 06-13-2008 05:02 PM

Really nice tree Galdor I like it a lot, especially the trunk.

Hmm well yea the treetop didn't get too awesome.
I tried a different style think it looks a bit better, not to happy with the colors tho.
Edit: tried to make the trunk texture more wood-ish xD

Chompy 06-13-2008 07:29 PM

:O! Nice :D

Shakram 06-13-2008 07:43 PM

looks much better now :D

Crono 06-15-2008 06:25 AM

I'm not sure how you have your textured laid out - but I would love to see much more dramatic shading on this - such that the bottom of the branches fade to nearly black, the bottom of the foliage and the base too.

e: Made mockup.

Well I want the shadows to be very soft (right now its shadeless tho), coz or else the tree will only be nice to look at from high grounds :P

I prefer moody trees to happy trees. I would love to do a short film with the style you have - but it would be a murder, or something dark.

They could be there, but it would be much more interesting if the story was twisted and sickly.

The unexpected, in comparison to the rest of the setting, would be really very enjoyable. If you're ever feeling up to it let me know.

DustyPorViva 08-04-2008 01:41 AM

Heh, I'm actually honored you did one of mines.

Crono 08-04-2008 02:59 AM

Galdor I have a challenge for you...

do Pluffy.

Umat 08-04-2008 03:30 AM

Nice work. :D

Draenin 08-04-2008 06:17 AM

I much more prefer high-poly models, but since every form of the 3D engine put out so far sucks up resources just to load the cities and landscaping, I don't think that'll be a possibility for some time.

Well yea there is a sculpt mode in blender if you want to make very high poly models but I prefer low poly ^^

Draenin 08-04-2008 09:19 PM

You work in Blender? I've had the opportunity to work with it too. It's pretty nice. :D

I've only worked in Blender once or twice, and my work is really the result of not knowing about all the tools available to me. If I knew how to specify vertex coordinates numerically instead of drawing them out, it would've been a lot easier.

This was an unfinished draft of the ap-pirces model from Zone in Lightwave, but I know I could do more with Blender. The top part is mostly finished, while the lower is not.

Crono 08-04-2008 10:17 PM

heh I remember you sending that gun over a long time ago

i gotta install lightwave again and start working with it

Another fast one, some staff by Sy... soon I have enough stuff to put together Zodiac 3D lol ^^

Draenin 08-05-2008 02:01 AM

Pretty cool.

If someone could give me a brief run-through, I could probably get some cool stuff done too.

Galdor 08-05-2008 02:24 AM

Sent you some tutorials, if anyone else would like some just send me a pm.
