Adults? I seriously do not think that it is that terribly important to most adults to have a forum here, on a game forum, in order to talk about adult material.

Since I'm more like in the middle I know why you feel this way. You want it to be exclusive to your generation, which is greedy and selfish. You can't claim something is for your generation only, when you're YOUNGER. Darlene has lived through the entire videogaming period. From it's birth until now. Most people here have not, or they were too young to even know what a videogame was when videogames first came out.

Who do you think comes up with videogames and makes them? Who makes childrens programming? Who makes childrens games? Children? PFFTTTT. Adults make the cartoons children watch on TV, adults make the videogames that children play. If there are adults making the games and tv shows that children enjoy, how can you even stand there with a straight face and say that adults don't know what's going on with the youth of today?

God I hope when I'm 40 and still playing videogames people will have changed their attitudes.

Again, people in their 30's and 40's lived through all of videogaming/pc gaming in it's entirety. How can you say they shouldn't be allowed to play them now? I grew up with Mario and Zelda and the age of NES and Gameboy and have been playing ever since. I find it ridiculous when I play an online game where some 14 year old tells me I'm too old to be playing the game. The very birth of most online games nowadays are from people 20 and over who enjoyed playing games in their childhood and still enjoy playing them today.

But anyway, how is it selfish to want a forum focused on my age group. The entire game is focused on the age group of 13, when a majority of players are older than that. So, asking for one single forum out of the entire gameplay and forums is selfish? Seems a bit extreme to call that selfish.

I don't understand. I am an adult, and I have recieved one warning, I think, the entire time I have been posting here, and maybe even one warning on the game itself.
I do not feel alienated just because I am an adult on a game geared towards children, and I cannot discuss adult stuff. If I wanted to do that, I could find an adult forum somewhere. I understand that my age group, and the adult age group is the minority here.
I will say it again, this is a game forum. This forum has a large variety of ages viewing it, who are members, and who post, and the majority of the members of these forums, and the game are not adults, they are children.
All you have to do is keep this in mind, and respect it, and understand it. I don't see why it is so hard.

I'll never understand why someone would want to do that, i guess it's an American thing, sure i can understand if you started playing when you were young and you grew older whilst playing it, but even then as you get older you grow up and out of playing this game, which is the case of like 95% of my older friends who i started playing this game with, but there's no way you started playing this game when you were around 15.

My point is Darlene, that you're expecting people to be 'mature' on a game and forums which in your own words are mostly full of kids (Which I disagree with anyway, on the forums part that is), I dont think any of us are mature as we claim to be, if we was, we wouldn't be playing this game..so in a sense, all of us still have abit of child in us.

The rules are fine as they are. Spark did a pretty good job with it. Just use a little common sense, keeping in mind that the forum is for 14+ (yes, children, not adults), and remember Graal is not an all adult game, and neither are the forums, and we will all get along just fine. :)

But it leaves too much up to the moderator digression, doesn't relax the rules on the content of the messages, other than allowing links, and the mods can remove your access forever if they like. It allows for personal feelings to come into play, and their judgment cannot be law. The forum claims to be relaxed, however, it has the same rules, and they are enforced. It's useless, and unless it's made different from the main forums, should be deleted. (Obviously, links can be posted again).

It isn't me expecting maturity, it is othe members wanting to be treated like they are mature, even if they do not show it. I never expected children to act any more mature then they are, or even adults for that matter. It isn't me that is fighting for a totally adult themed forum for "mature" adults. It isn't me fighting for the lounge to be even more slack for "mature" children/adults. I don't care how mature a person is. A child is still a child, and an adult is still an adult, whether they act mature or immature.

I have no data at all, and have even stated this. None of us do except maybe Unixmad. All I have is personal data from members I have spoken to, and the fact that this game/forums are for people from 13+.

These are the important things. Its the customers who decide what your business offers. I can sell big wheel bicycles all I want, for the people who like them, but the thing is, I'm going to be out of business before I sell a single bike.

How do you know what members are actually playing, or viewing the forums? There are so many playerworlds, and 24 hour days, and different time zones, and new members signing up for the forums consistantly. This is a topic that none of us should even be discussing, as none of us have access to these statistics.

Most of the active posters are above 18, or would like to be treated like they are. My poll proved that.
And it's not like talking about cigarettes, beer, and sex will kill anyone. As long as no one posts pics of that last one ;)
