Not many new folks are avid forum users. Just saying.

No but im sure if something was really bothering them, they would try and find a way to tell someone with power. I did. When i was new i did all i could to get into the community as GK lacks newbie help so much.

But most of them don't.

And the song remains the same. Have your leet owning the way you want, in the end you only get what you deserve.

I am level 8 magic, level 1 phys, level 1 wis, level 9 ment, and level 39 agility. Don't make the assumption that people are complaining about this because they can't be 'leet.'
At least we are working towards optimized gameplay. If we fix it now, there'll be less problems with the mechanics in the future.

You aren't getting my point, i dont mind player suggestions im saying that there was no reason to turn off the system.

Have you not been reading this thread? Have you not seen the numerous people including Ed, one of GK's most experienced mages saying this needs improvement? Give me a break, man.

HEY GUY, YOU'RE THE ONE THAT NEEDS TO LEARN TO READ!

The improvements were causing more problems than they were solving. Sure, some people thought it was decent, but others found it annoying. We asked Stefan to turn it off until it was improved and didn't cause problems for us. He has the Debug server to test it on more and now it's not affecting people's gameplay. And it's not only that people aren't able to fight normal players anymore, it's the fact that they can't even kill monsters anymore because when they cast the spell, the spell goes in a completely different direction because it's trying to hit the mouse cursor instead of going the direction the players are used to casting it in.

What exactly does that have to do with learning to read?

And yeah, that seems fair. But lets put it like this, im a beta player, i like to test things.

This lead me to a little idea. Maybe Stefan could put up some sort of server everytime a new feature was added to see if people liked it, and if they did, he would shut down that server and add the new content to the actual GK. Or maybe this could be something VIPs had the opportunity to try.

Not exactly the worst idea ever. Might give meaning to that whole "VIPs get to try out new things first" thing that we payed for.

Exactly.

Hey that is very true, I remember back in the day --chris-- used to talk about going onto the test GK server to test out all kinds of stuff. A huge change would be perfect for going into a beta with.

Instead of fighting, why don't we all just get a shot for testing out the new stuff rather than adding and subtracting content randomly. That way we could see all of the magic "fixes" and upgrades and have a better understanding of why this system was terminated. I mean really I thought it was wonderful, other oldbies thought spamming Flaming Aura was wonderful, there has to be some kind of compromise right? I don't like great ideas when they are abandoned.

How many people are on GK on average anyways, like 26? Maybe thats why it gets such few updates. Or maybe it's because more is happening on the test server.

I'm gonna go with more like 45. 26 is what it has at like 4 AM eastern. On Sundays it generally hits over 100. To be honest, in my opinion recently...the playercount has been up.
