A classic account can probably quote the error message, but I think it's one message every 6hours? So could be 4messages a day if you were up all day >_<

I kept getting a fatal error message while using the AOL browser, but I switched to IE and it works fine now. I thought it was something to do with my account being classic, but I guess not.

Stupid people will post, get prepare... If we are complainting now dont think it will get better now.

That's because it's the AOL browser. Use something better like Firefox. :|

When I had my classic account earlier today before I reupgraded, I posted I think 5 times with no time inbetween.. no 6 hours pause.

The forums work fine with IE.

FYI classic accounts are throtteled to 1 message every 7 hours...

Initially it should be 3 messages a day, but I thought it won't be exact as you're probably not going to post exactly 8 hours after your last message. 7 hours is fine :)

Only 1 message can be posted, then you have to wait 7 hours? Why not just 3 posts a day without having to wait 7 hours between posting them?

Because it would be more cpu-intensive (checking whole post database) and with all the things I had to do I didn't have time to do better (vBulletin directly provide the time of the last post so the check is easy)

If that is the case, I think every 4 hours, or some smaller limit would be more appropriate.

I say this because if you think about usage, most people will come on for a specific period of time to check forum posts/reply.

They will not be up 24/7 trying to get in their whole 6 posts a day.
