Then we will have a meeting to discuss Graal2001's revival at the end of this month, and the many productive members shall come out of the woodwork for a 2k1 revival. It will pick up speed as everyone gets out of school. We'll finally get those darn kingdoms done.

Meeting is tentatively scheduled for May the 29th. More details regarding who is invited (everyone who is interested), exact time (probably mid-afternoon), and topics to be discussed (who wants to help out, ideas for the server, etc) will be available in time.

So you want us to play on something that isn't playable or nice?
That's not so good.
And also, even the staff members admit how slow progress is going. A jiffy isn't being asked, simply a reasonable amount of time. It should not take more than a month, it's not like you are starting entirely from scratch.

P.S: Those must've been some very smart horse shoes.

That's too bad. If he lacks such motivation he shouldn't ruin the server for everyone else.

Were you even around for Jinn's Isle?

If this topic shows how mature 2k1's staff is now, i'm glad it's dead (and i never thought those words would come across my mouth. x_x)

No, we don't want you to play on something that isn't playable or nice. Thus, we don't want to put 2k1 back unless it's done right. I let you guys hurry me once, and we all saw how that turned out. But, hey. It's not like I was right or anything.

Quality takes time. We were already working on it for a few months before everyone went inactive.

Hey, I am motivated. Nobody else (who is capable of helping, produces quality work, and isn't someone that will cause problems with the staff) seems to care, though. When that's fixed, things'll be just fine.

WanDaMan 05-03-2004 07:27 PM

i'd help, and i produce good work xD

Well, attend the meeting then, and we'll see what happens. ^_^

I mayperhaps make a somewhat-laggy chat system on 2k1 Dev to fascilitate the meeting, or we could merely hold the meeting ingame.

AIM?
Wandaman graal

I'll be going off it in 1 hour and 30 mins for bed time :)

haunter 05-03-2004 08:04 PM

Unless you plan on sleeping for the next 4 weeks, I don't think that will be much of a problem.

that wouldn't bother me at one bit..
I mean, give me some levels, they'll be done within a week or 2
depends on the quantity

--Chris-- 05-03-2004 09:03 PM

"So you want us to play on something that isn't playable or nice?"

No, I think everyone should have some patients. Do you intentionally chose a less sensible way to interpret things? Meh, I'll stop argueing now. Meeting later this month - neat <3 How about it's done on AIM? I don't use (nor have I think) that IRC thing x_X

haunter 05-03-2004 09:10 PM

Neither do I... It just allows more control over the chat... So I figured it would be a good choice.

WanDaMan 05-03-2004 09:11 PM

I have it on a disk :p

Brad 05-03-2004 09:32 PM

Tell me when the chatroom is made.

To Gryffon: The reason it matters to me is because people actually know what it was like back then. Post Zalactic..maybe before then was entirely different then lets say when Dustari and Zormite were the only kingdoms.

Scott 05-03-2004 11:09 PM

Hurray.
To Brad: I've always been keen of you, but this "oldbie" **** is getting lame. >;[

How is it lame, he wants the times when he had fun to come back. My favorite times were about a month after it came out, me and Bear had these huge survivors matches.

In my personal opinion, 2k1 started going down after little survivor was switched to cops and robbers, seemed like a lot of my friends quit around then, maybe a little before.

Myukoi 05-03-2004 11:40 PM

I <3 Cops and Robbers, but why would they remove survivor? :(
But i do dislike people who rant about how much an olbie they are, but atleast he's not near as bad as Clops.. ugh.

No I am so anti-lets go against newbies you don't even know. I just want old-2k1 back. It really is nothing personal to anyone or me trying to brag, etc. Cops and robbers is wack bring back mini survivor.

Googi 05-04-2004 01:52 AM

Really, it was probably when new bodies were released the 2K1 started to go downhill.

Googi is right, normal bodies are much better. For sparring and playing survivor especially.

Myukoi 05-04-2004 04:18 AM

I heard the bodies were planned to be re-made, but i like the current ones. It's just alot aren't fully made. There is a great variety of different clothes, i go on there often to dress up. :p

--Chris-- 05-04-2004 05:04 AM

New bodies are more flexible with ganis and sparring is debate-able - I actually prefer the slow slashing :x

WanDaMan 05-04-2004 07:38 AM

I prefer old :p

We obviously don't like new bodies.

Define "we".

I like the new ones, they allow for better Ganimations etc... Like what chris said.

90% of the people who have voiced an opinion about it, including myself?

haunter 05-04-2004 08:49 PM

I'd like to see the statistics you've gathered on that subject, please.

Old - 5
Old? - 1
New - 4

Ok, well, I guess I misread the topic, but old still outnumbers new. And this is just this topic... I'll dig up my other poll, hang on.

EDIT: Ok, it was about new/old HP, not bodies. But if you want to purge through every one of the 1000 posts on this board you'll see that the old bodies are generally accepted as better.

EDIT MACH TOO: Somebody requested being added "Old"

Add 1 more to the old =D

Voting won't make a difference. ;[

Brad 05-05-2004 03:18 AM

I like old because bomys and humans were actually somewhat equal.

WanDaMan 05-05-2004 12:29 PM

ya, both was fat

Myukoi 05-05-2004 05:41 PM

if i see an online petition to get back the old bodies.. *shivers*
