Sure they found it as a joke, but what if they did not?

Then it would be a much different situation.

Exactly...
He took a big chance, that is the whole debate here...

He shouldn't take chances with situations like this.

DragonX 11-15-2003 08:40 AM

I can't believe that the forums are so boring now that you guys need to dwell on such a nominal subject such as this one..

If I could turn back time, I would. I would turn it back to when I was a newbie. The forums were booming then, with great topics and arguements from amazing people (Dante, etc) even though people picked on me like they do on Emily today, it was still fun and lively.

Now it's full of people who want to act smart so they insult people to feel big =/

DustyPorViva 11-15-2003 09:17 AM

I never took sides nor did I say Koni was wrong.
All I stated was he was taking a big chance.

syltburk 11-15-2003 02:15 PM

Sounds like you're seeing the past through rose-tinted glasses.

For some people, arguing is 'fun'.

I remember that time...no, no. It never existed ^_^

I remember tonnes of arguments before you had to pay, the largest being the ones involving Queen Undine. Man, she gave me a headache.

Pure fantasy. There's no substantial record of how it was ingame, but if you go back to the beginnings of the board then you'll see far more unopposed attacks and arguments, plus bucketloads of spam.

bigdawg1003 11-15-2003 10:35 PM

There are always arguments present, In every forum, every city, town and country there is always some sort of argument going on.

Yea, and I don't think the moderators are doing such a great job of keeping arguments under control....

Yeah they could do a better job.

We are not allowed to argue about things...? This is new.

haunter 11-16-2003 06:40 AM

If the world was void of disagreement, it would be a very, very scary place.

Its not that you are not allowed to argue its just that we think there are a few too many arguments that shouldnt really have come up.

WkD66 11-16-2003 06:46 AM

Oh, so I'm not allowed to raise a valid question about a possible infringement upon the rules of good conduct?

I think that if someone posts something, someone who disagrees with them is bound to post their opinion on that subject. Then it will most likely escalate from there.

Sure you can do that but don't let it drag on into another pointless argument

Such things are not always pointless. I see no reason to prohibit discussion of these matters.

H a h a

I remember her. Ahaha she was so arrogant.
Was she actually good at arguing or did she just speak "like this my peasant"?

Neoreno 11-16-2003 11:11 PM

Terrible at arguing, and had this odd fascination with Britney Spears. Eugh. Fiercelink also springs to mind. He was nearly as bad.

That isn't quite what I meant... I was more referring to when arguments get out of hand and go off topic, etc.

  • Off-topic posting is not a violation of the rules
  • Debating an issue is not a violation of the rules
  • 1+1=2

Do the math.

bigdawg1003 11-17-2003 05:02 AM

Im not saying that the arguments are breaking the rules they are just becoming a little too often.

You're not understanding what I'm saying. You said the moderators should take action merely because of a personal preference of yours, when there are no violations of the rules involved. Do you see what's wrong with this?

superb 11-17-2003 10:05 AM

Irony = Arguing over whether or not there's too much arguing here. :p

But do you think its necessery, to me this isn't a question of the rules, its a question if it really need to be like this?

It's not necessary for you to continue posting here. Does that mean I should ban you?

Necessity is not the only justification for being.

Do the math.

  • A significant amount of people don't enjoy the off topic posting, arguing, and bickering.
  • We paid for our message board access and therefore you should care what we think.
  • 1+1=2
Do the math. If it isn't against the rules already then it should be.
