I don't say I totally disapprove of the method or the ones in question should by any means be PWA but that decision is up to the reviewers. But you should remain neutral in something like that and not be the catalyst of forcing this out in the open. It only tends to make you look only a small step above the ones your trying to discredit in a round about way. People will always at some point show their true side if given enough time. But also on the otherhand everyone can show a bad side if pushed far enough. You can't fake wisdom and maturity, immaturity will raise its ugly head soon enough before a decision on them is made.

Perhaps, but the person in question was guilty of every poor behavior I enumerated. *shrug*

I am well aware of his antics on Graal and have had some dealings with him myself and I don't disagree with you about him at all.

Okay. :)

I merely disagree with the supposition that I should maintain neutrality. (Besides, if I was to maintain neutral, I should not support anyone, now should I? ;))

my question wasnt if getting supporters is a small part of this tryout, i asked is this the part when my friendship with other is more important then the skills?

Ok this is my opinion only; because I have no knowledge of the application like the rest of you don't. I suspect it is more on your character, thought process, and how you react to pressures. We are all human and make mistakes or lose our temper but this cannot be the norm for the applicant. This needs to be the exception. I believe the Team will be dealing with mainly problems of the PWs, Staff, player etc.. Making rules to ensure the Game is run smoothly and fairly to all so they get what they pay for, a fun game where they can challenge and enjoy themselves. This has to be done with a degree of maturity and wisdom; it is not something that is suited for everyone.

You have to have a good understanding of the rules and how to implement them. Too many times now I see misuse of the term "harassment" for banning when the person doesn't have a clear understanding of what harassment is. There are 143 PWs I see on Graal.net, this is a huge number of PWs to manage but this is exactly what the PWA's task will be. They are the mediators, the Police and enforcers of the rules of Graal. It will also fall on them to review PWs for placement on the visible list; this in itself will not be an easy task every month. Last of all they need to understand this is a job just like in real life and treat it like such. This has nothing to do with friendships you have with the people of Graal , business and friendships don't mix for a good business. It does have to do how you relate to all on Graal , the PWA are leaders not followers so leadership ablity is a must. One must lead by example and not ask things of others they would not do themselves.

I was told by Nemesis (before he left) that the PWA was becomeing less, and less important to graal. He said that eventually there might not even be a PWA... BUT, that was a few months ago, and maybe things have changed. I think that the biggest responcibility of the PWA will be the PW reviews, and picking what PW's go from the second to third group, and the other way around. This is very important, because a choice like that can make, or break a PW. Problems with staff on PW's shouldn;t be THAT big of a deal, things like that should be taken care of by the manager, or other PW staff, not be the PWA. Now, if problems are not taken care of by the PW staff, THEN the PWA might talk to the manager/renter of the PW, to get things worked out. I hope the PWA stays strong, I think it's a good idea to have the PWA, they just need members :P though this application should produce like 5 people (guessing)

Two Things:

1) What he said was true. But there is more and more of a need for a PWA Team now.

2) Badger...Badger...Badger...MUSHROOM....MUSHROOM... . Badger...Badger...Badger...Badger...ooo SNAKKKKEEEE! (;))

I just came here to wish you all good luck :)

Menace_P2P 10-06-2003 03:27 AM

Goodluck everyone, I already know who i'm supporting though, sorry :(

--Chris-- 10-06-2003 09:09 AM

I'm applying...FAQ Admin on 2k1 and I got myself a good supporter or two so far. Waiting on the last one to get online :)

Oh and a note: I can support 3 people being global and all and I already have some in mind if they do decide to ask. Also, if I don't know you very well don't bother asking...you won't get a tumbs up as I'm unaware of your skills and qualities and it's a waste of both of our time.

Kinda strange that you're supporting as well as applying... just doesn't make sense, who gives themself competition when they're in a job interview in real life?
