Yea...you have to note that this is just a test thing...this is only a few days worth of work, and we are showing off some quick stuff, I can garuntee that if what we have shown didnt take your breath away, that the finished product will.

He was giving you constructive critisism, it wasn't 'talking ****' or whatever you want to call it, it's that you don't know how to handle the fact that someone might not find your stuff perfect

Eh, I think you're overreacting here. He doesn't have to be able to make something better in order to judge if something is good or not. You don't have to be able to cook a fabulous meal in order to judge if something tastes good or not. That's silly.

So he made one comment without backing it up... I really don't see how he's slamming the graphics. If he came in and said "OMG THAT JUST TOTALLY SUCKS" then I would agree that he is just bashing, but he's not. He's picking out certain things, which I mostly have to agree with.

Because you cannot. Most of the people I have talked to(who know GFX) have said that bloos style is much better than yours and his work ethic blows your out of the water.

No. Usually, if you use a 64x64 pattern, it's not going to look like it's repeating at all (that is, if you do it well enough). Like for example, SOM's use of grass tiles. Which is irony, because it seems Bloo tried to use their idea to represent his grass.

Most of the graphics people have seen by me is old, anyways. Most of the new stuff I make I never finish due to laziness. I'm not really bothered about his work eithic. Alot of people work harder then I do.

This isnt the only thread. ANYTHING bloo makes he has something bad to say about it. He is the main reason bloo left in the first place a while back. I am not the "conceited fool". I cannot make GFX, I am just sticking up for bloo.

It really does seem like deek is picking on bloo, deek never was finding things wrong with my work. I dont really see whats wrong with bloos work it looks good to me.

I have seen nothing "amazing" from Deek, yet he talks like he rocks with Picasso and shiz.

Deek a while ago said I could have everything from this screenshot for sans because he thought wc was not using it. But he was so I told deek I would just make a tree like it which I did and I'm not showing now. Deek made this like a year ago I think.

He can talk about how great he is all he wants. You shouldn't get so worked up over it. If you know for a fact that he isn't that talented, that is all you should need. You don't need to sit here and rank bloo over him, you're only adding fuel to the fire.

Sorry, I really don't want to take sides or anything, but I agree with deek & konidias.

Bloo is obviously a great graphics designer; any sane person can see that. But deek is also amazing. Anyway, I'm not here to say one is better then the other, or whatever, I'm just gonna say it looked pretty reasonable what he said.

I know for a fact, as I am living proof, that pointing out flaws rather then saying how great something is will only improve people. When I used to get complimented a ton from Murasamune screenshots, it got my ego so high I was blinded by it. When people started to dislike my work, or start to compliment Faheria or something, I slowly began to lesson my ego, and eventually I have a small amount of pride in what I do, rather then an ego. From that day on every time I make a graphic I improve and learn more.

What I'm trying to say is rather then see that he posted all negatives, see that he gave you areas to improve upon, then improve on it. That way, next time, there will be nothing to complain about and they will compliment. That is how progression is made, not by complaining and saying how they insulted you...

Well you have got to understand that when people make graphic they put a lot work into and when people critisize it they get a tad offencive.

That, then heck.. The style used to make the braches look like they twist out then down is great XP

The only problem I have with it are the weird white dots/lines around the edges of some things.. Like it was scanned and touched up, but not gone over again (GK's GFX share that problem, around the edges you can see gray and white spots.. Really ugly)

I don't scan my work though, I use the mouse.. My scanner fizzled and died a few months back, so that's not even an option for me.

Thanks. I made that tree a long time ago, whever I was working for Warcaptain for the supposedly "New" Enigma server that he was working on. Then, of course, we got into an argument, and long story short I dropped out. That tree does have it's downfalls, and the trees that I can make now are probably twice as better than that. The way the leaves are all jumbled up on the branches makes it look fugly IMO.
