I think the reason no one cares or is "paying their respects" as you said is because he hasnt actually died... and no one liked him... maybe he was good to you but others dont feel the same, maybe if you had worded it more like he has decided to leave graal he was a good graphics guy but he has left, any graphics you people have to show that he made would be cool.....

I didnt know him so I cant really say if that would have been more effective than sounding like he died
