Yeah, I'm making a cactus race. I doubt it'll be a player race though.

Yes, mixing things would be a good idea. I was just providing an example. And yes, there will be different things to mix to make things different. Such as mixing in blueberries into the muffin batter to create blueberry muffins.

I just think there should be a little bit more to it instead of just picking the ingredients and waiting, that's all.

ReBBisH 05-03-2001 05:24 AM

I thought you were making a new bomy ;)

Fai 05-03-2001 05:24 AM

Not waiting. There could be something else.

Yes, that was just a basic idea! I'm not very complex in the depths of scripting, so I'll do my best.

TheFrozenFiend 05-03-2001 05:29 AM

stephan/stevan probably wont even read this :p

Oh well.
Bye bye till tomorrow when i shall once again make useless posts

Fai 05-03-2001 05:31 AM

This is what I think:

There should be 3 areas.

Area 1 would have breads and other sandwich things. You would just put it together.

Area 2 would have flour, sugar, and other cakey pie things, and an oven to cook it in. You would just mix these things in a bowl.

Area 3 would have meats and stuff to make things like that. You would take the meat, cook it with the flavorings and stuff, then cut it.

Then when you are done a Sandwich/Cake/Meat would appear that you can carry and do whatever cooking would be for. And it could use setcoloreffect to make the foods unique for each recipe.

You would be surprised what he actually DOES read here ^_^

Valder 05-03-2001 05:33 AM

he reads all the posts that are important enough to him to read

JungleKid 05-03-2001 05:38 AM

Baking should have just the simplicity of mixing the ingredients. Then when you have the finished dish, you should be able to either carry it around or maybe put it in your backpack. Then, maybe we could have quests where you need to bring them lots of food and they will let you pass, etc.

HiryuuX 05-03-2001 05:53 AM

This was a while back but you were talking about "wooden stoves". How could you have a wooden stove? Wouldn't it burn?

ReBBisH 05-03-2001 05:56 AM

I meant a stone stove...

Fai 05-03-2001 05:56 AM

Why stone? There is such thing as metal. This isn't the Flintstones.

Zulithe 05-03-2001 05:58 AM

Even today great chefs use stone stoves for baking, it's just one of those things

ReBBisH 05-03-2001 05:58 AM

Because Metal gets hot extremely easy and this isnt a space odyssey...

HiryuuX 05-03-2001 05:59 AM

Fai, who the hell cares. Stop posting stupid things like "WHY NUT THESE DFSH!!?!@", it gets really annoying. I wouldn't care what kind of stove as long as it makes sense.

Fai 05-03-2001 05:59 AM

Metal isn't anything futuristic you know. And getting hot quickly = good.

ReBBisH 05-03-2001 06:00 AM

and burning chefs because they touched the outside = bad ;)

Zulithe 05-03-2001 06:31 AM

Look a metal stove just wouldn't be very Graalish, besides stone stoves are much cooler to look at and they are generally bigger, so we can make them large enough to where more than one chef can use the same stove at a time

Fai 05-03-2001 06:55 AM

I think if this is put on the server, they should make it's purpose something that would make you continuously bake. Not something like "bake food, keep it, use it to heal".

freddyfox 05-03-2001 07:29 AM

Baking would also help feed bomy pets.
Some food would probobly last longer then others.

Tyhm 05-03-2001 09:58 AM

And you could burn the bread and use it as a L2 sword, but it'd only be good for 3 hits before it breaks and you have to go back to the L1 sword!
And you could use The Breadman (the Tick villain)'s Secret Recipe to make rapid-rising butter biscuits, and throw them like bombs!
And you could bake unleavened bread and throw it like a frisbee!
And you could make buns for hamburgers!
And, yeah!

IceHawk 05-03-2001 10:03 AM

Tyhm wins!

waar 05-03-2001 10:04 AM

haha im the first one who voted no.

but i would be all for it if we could feed it to our bomy pets.

IceHawk 05-03-2001 10:05 AM

Would you have to farm to get the flour?

Zulithe 05-03-2001 10:07 AM

Hmmmm exploding rolls... Don't give us any ideas!

Valder 05-03-2001 10:12 AM

and get to melk cows to get milk, that'll help feed the bomy's too

What are the melk cows?

freddyfox 05-03-2001 10:21 AM

Probobly not the flour. That would be buyable in the shops, as well as milk. But if you wanted to, you could get fresh milk from milking cows. Perhaps fresh milk would make the food products heal more? (Tastier?)

Old joke... stefan accidently put an "e" instead of an "i" when he put up the sign that explained farming. So now everyone calls it "melking cows" instead of "milking cows."

Okay. That was very informative, thanks. I wasn't aware of that.... eh... cool

Valder 05-03-2001 10:26 AM

Hey! That wouldn't be a very productive way of gathering milk, cause some would spill :p
