When you exit out of Graal, you don't have the option of staying in tray-menu.

jkldogg 10-04-2010 01:12 AM

Graal may not have millions of player, but i've got to say i LOVE how customizable it is.

Tig & Dusty that does look much better. Minor things here and there but much nicer. Esp Dusty's.

Still wouldnt mind the dividers but thats just nitpicking I suppose. Can I see PM windows?

Yes, download the WBA file, navigate to your Graal folder, go to levels > guistyles. Drop the WBA file in there. Navigate back to your Graal folder. Delete FILENAMECACHE.txt. Restart Graal. Press F3. Select it for your theme.

How do I edit it so that it will work on the beta test for v6? because I can get it to work for the v5, but not the v6 x.x thanks

Crono 10-04-2010 02:56 AM

yeah dusty that looks a lot better. not sure about the blue buttons but miles ahead of the current themes. with dividers it would just be so perfect, the only thing i would have to complain about would be ingame font which is being looked into.

Dead serious, I wasn't doing anything other than carrying donuts; no third-party program was involved. I'm kind of at a catch-22, here, because it seems there is no way out of it, other than considering the improbable.

I mean c'mon, I have no reason at all to speed up the "sprinkle donut" process.
Drop logs of the time I picked up the donuts would coincide with the ToRC flag, yes?
That's all I got, man.

Since it did only happen on v6, I figured it was an issue with the client.
If the detector just happened to "slip-up", I guess I'm just up the creek with no paddle.

sales stupid speed detection banned me for 30 days when i used to overclock my computer, so then i had to uninstall that overclock program that never had anyproblems the 4 years prior

So you had a program that sped up Graal but didn't affect other programs? Cool. The speed detection would only detect if it was speeding up Graal. Overclocking doesn't speed up the framerate of general programs unless you're doing it wrong. More about Era's speed hack detection can be found here.

Eclipse 10-04-2010 03:09 AM

well all i can tell you is that i didnt have any 3rd party programs and when i uninstalled my overclocking program i never had any issues after sooooooooooooooooo

and the program came with my overclocking motherboard and for 3 years didnt have any issues until that detection **** started

Cool. So for three years you were essentially speed hacking on Graal.

If we changed it to look something like this would it help anything?

i agree, however, i like the ---------Players---------- in the tabname,
makes it much easier to see on what tab someone are on, perhaps this could be added to the ingame too?

also, i gotta say that, i want the playerlist back that you had on client-rc because as it is now, it fills up the playerlist with stuffs that you don't even need to see all the time because you opened the client-rc.

xAndrewx 10-04-2010 10:34 AM

fixed the era thing, thanks dogg

1.) Make a new folder on your desktop.
2.) Download and extract v6 beta to that new folder.
3.) Then follow the steps for the WBA thingy.

xAndrewx 10-04-2010 08:51 PM

HTML Code:

      (@ "-Playerlist").openPMWindow({pl}, false);
      (@ "-Playerlist").openHistoryWindow(pl);

Doesn't seem to work, but does on V5.

The playerlist is named -Playerlist_V6 (if memory serves) on v6 temporarily, since the v6 player list has a lot of bugs on v5.

ois, thanks paedo ;~)

There should be a report PM button, which echo's the PM to RC so we can monitor certain chats!! (harassment etc)

That could be very easily abused. Don't like the idea.

I see spam being an issue with that

On Classic iPhone it's very easy to send feedback to RC. People who abuse it get banned from posting feedback. It's not really a problem, and the benefits outweigh some threat of potential spamming which would just result in a ban.
This would allow staff to use PMs as proof for punishment, etc.

Eh, the only benefit is that it's easier (i.e moar lazy) to report. Apart from the spam it's an ok feature though.

Currently, PMs cannot be used as acceptable proof on playerworlds because the only way to get PMs is from a screenshot. Screenshots can be altered, and just copy/pasting history to staff can be edited even more easily...
so it's not a matter of being lazy at all. It's a matter of being able to use PMs as proof of harassment or not.

it makes it a lot harder to get era staff fired by faking pm screenshots...

Yes, I have. My reasons just aren't acceptable to you, because I have the gall to dislike the old external playerlist. :\ It's like a cardinal sin, or something.

Obviously, the guy creating the game doesn't think he's messed it up. External windows are a new, great feature, and it's natural to convert all old external windows to the new, scripted ones, considering those can be modified much more easily.

You probably wouldn't have been so upset if there was already a theme made. But, then again, I didn't say that you should have to make it.

Good point. I think it would a good idea, as well.

Skyld 10-04-2010 10:35 PM

I added an option in the F3 window earlier for changing the font name and size, are there any problems with it? It's currently not a drop-down box because there's currently no way to reliably get available fonts but that'll come in a future release (except on Mac where it's a drop-down box listing fonts but a lot of them are not yet being read from the system font folder).

MrOmega 10-04-2010 10:52 PM

Is there any way to upload fonts to one's server and use them?

Yes. Should be a TrueType font, add it to folder config as a file, put it in a GUI profile.

e: make sure you have rights to use the font btw
