I like to talk with people whose intelligence rivals mine, whether it's on message boards, instant messages, chat rooms, or just plain video games. Yes, typing "u" instead of "you" is faster and easier, but it shows less intelligence. I have a good right to call someone stupid if they do that. Get with what program?
