The tree tops are okay IMO. The trunks lighting/color usage and/or maybe even shape is just very awkward and doesn't really portrait what the base of a tree would be to me. I think it's those "place holders" in the trunk that make it feel this way. Perhaps just incomplete?

I didn't say they were complete x3, well, the tops are. But the trunks I stopped working on because I noticed a better/must smaller way I wanted to do it that would look more natural. BUT I would have had to start them all over again and I wasn't very interested in doing that. :p

Though with the original idea for the trunk that was shown I was going for more of a graveyard feel.

The tree tops have a lot of depth in the leaves but as a whole look flat.

I agree, there is alot of detail and shading on each leaf, but the overal tree lacks depth.

the leaves are cool but the way the tree is positioned seems weird and there looks like an electrical current is going through the trunk lol

lack of things to do makes my mind slip...recently I've been having thoughts of -shudder-...making an era clone....:O! I could has cars and gangs and parties and bizness's! :O! It'd be so original and cool.
