It'd be great to revive an old server every month throughout the year to show how far the game has progressed!

I think I know what he meant, though his chronology was certainly off by a few years. :) |

this is how graal should have expanded in the first place...it was never lively enough for multiple servers, and it def isn't these days.
this has been an idea of mine for some time, obviously other people have been thinking the same thing. |

Tempest of Time was never even close to being finished, and GodSpeed and Er1c do not even play anymore. Providence was Tyne and Malak's server, I don't know the extent of work Kamuii did on it, but I know he was involved. As for Elven Lands, who the heck is Kitty? The last known managers when it had a high playercount before it was driven into the ground was myself, HEYhost and the other James. Lastly, I have no idea why NewWorld was dropped, but I worked on it a long time ago and it was never close to being complete except for a few towns here and there. It was an entirely different client that actually had support for layered tiles, and for some reason we still don't have layered tiles on the main client. I personally would like to see G_Yoshi's server Doragon Koden brought back, I doubt anyone has a backup of that though. |
I would enjoy seeing some of the old servers again... Old Val was awesome- Way better in my opinion... and Cynical Online was very adventurous! And I'd kill to see Delteria revived, it was my first server... Back when it was the #2 server under UN. 60 players+

ok and i Agree with MD
Engima was a server that went up like 4 times and got taken down over and over same with Rudora but Old Bravo alot of people called that home espically BTK i remember Dew(BTK) and me use to play it all the time BTK was a big part of Bravo i think Bravo should went up there. Also Tig Tifa was the last manager of DoomsDay Cynical i have a back up somewhere but Valor gave me rights to Cynical Online a while back ago !! |

I would like to know how you plan to convert a giant list of entire pre-npc server serverbackups to work with the NPC server?
I could see these list of collective servers reaching well over 50,000 levels of npcs needing conversion, of varying degrees of intensity, depending on simple level scripts like doors to extensive systems such as a banking system or whatnot. That alone stretches this idea to well beyond being remotely possible. Don't give me any crap about not using an NPC server either. Being a PWA, you should damn well know that an online server is required to have one with absolutely no exception. If you dont, well, you really are in the wrong position as a PWA. You should also know how strongly Stefan holds to that as well, just on the basis of security alone. |

But yes. I loved Babylon. |

it seems like there's going to be a lot more work to be done than expected, which means this would just be a waste of time. it's hard to believe that you can just upload the server backup and it's good to go.
