I am also back, welcome back to you.

The above statement has not been endorsed by the Tyhm Association For Verifiable Oldbies (TAVO?).

Also, I sure hope that's meant as Second LAT as in Vice, not Second chronologically...

It'd be better for me than a server-specific job, considering I don't really like dedicating myself to working on servers much. However, I dunno if I'd ever even try due to a lack of confidence in my abilities these days. Someone was mentoring me for a while so I could learn, but she sort of dissapeared.

Wasn't he the admin right after Olorin?

Not so much, no. It was Galen (debatably), Olorin, Nightlord, Almost-Pendragon, then I think there was some guy inbetween...embarassing that I can't remember, he only lasted a week or two, some big-name...then Fox, who stayed exactly long enough to get the charter passed that meant that Fox got to choose his replacement and Nightlord didn't. Then me. Ragnarok was offered the post and turned it down to focus on his studies. Which is why I rather doubt George Nix has returned.

Oh, and if you ever get a chance to talk to Galen, he used to have the full continuity from Before There Were LATs. When it was Vangel and Mandie and Azrael and He Who Must Not Be Named in charge of levels, while not themselves being LAT.

Ragnarok 05-14-2007 05:06 PM

I have not returned...

This thread is very hilarious and somewhat flattering. Not the first time someone has tried this, but the last guy just got the acounts admin to give him my account(he was cool enough to give it back).

About the timeline of LAT admins, I am absolutely certain I was admin after Olorin(sp).

I first got started when Olorin was LAT Admin. He was busy fixing tile mismatches between levels(new version of graal made them apparent), but the rest of the game was bug ridden(unplayable). I am not certain if Olorin could script or not, or if he was just too busy, but I got started by fixing these bugs. Galen, who was active even though he had "quit", gave me rc access so that I could check and manipulate character flags for online debugging. Eventually, Olorin left(I think he went to work on NW but not sure) and I was the only person left working on levels. Galen gave me ftp and wanted me to build a magic quest(which I never finished). Galen really quit(sorda) and I started reviewing submissions, building levels, building a team. Actually, as you remember it is your submission(the knife of judgement one) that caused me to "hire" you.

Anyways, we had meetings, worked on levels, ect ect... I don't know if I was called lat admin, but that is what I was... Well until Nightlord somehow convinced Stefan to "fire" me(probably had to do with my antagonism towards Antago). I came back to lat(thanks to the people who protested), but I wasn't admin in that I didn't have ftp(I think this is when I lost it). Even without ftp, things continued as they were(for the most part) until I had to quit. You eventually became lat admin... I think I tried to come back a few times while you were, but couldn't muster it.(you were better at making levels anyways... well at least scripts)

PS:Hey Tyhm! =)

Tyhm 05-14-2007 05:47 PM

Hey Rag, or Rag-like-person. I'll PM you the big test to verify who you are. I think my credentials should count for something anyway. ;-)

Ragnarok 05-14-2007 05:51 PM

If anyone's does it is yours and Aphrodite's. She could verify in a heartbeat(since she knows things no one does... even you), but its really not that important. I am not back to "reclaim the glory of yesteryear", just to talk =).

But I will take your "test" regardless.

Tyhm 05-14-2007 06:03 PM

Nice. I can verify he's either Ragnarok or Aph in disguise. Or I could be lying and he's me in disguise, but I hardly see the point. I was never big on his guild business and would be quickly out of my depth.

's good though, I'm sure HellRaven could use your guidance, much as you guided production during my tenure (even in your absence). I'm too depressed by the state of things to contribute anymore...-_-;

Ragnarok 05-16-2007 03:03 PM

Sorry for the thread necromancy.

This is something I normally abhor, but the circumstance is extraordinary. Welcome back KawaiiSaria(someone I actually used to know), and welcome back thread creator, Phantom(unfortunately someone I don't).
