Look who has the bad attitude now? He suggests you're a scammer and suddenly his work sucks, when it really doesn't. That's pretty childish, man.

Sometimes when I look at it I like it for it's uniqueness and other times when I look at it I just see it as a poor copy.

I've got 10$ on Elk not taking any of our advise and just using the ****ty rough draft he posted.

Probably, that's not a surprise. But what difference does it make? It's his choice.

Zideruic 10-19-2006 04:56 AM

Why even post it if he's going to bark at us for telling him that he needs to improve on some small things in order for it to be good quality?

Africa sucks ^^

Other than that, it's a million times better than anything I'll ever do, so:

10/10

My thoughts exactly; still, it's pretty cool.

Meh, it's not all that good.
I don't think planets shine like that.
And it does need some AA.
It also lacks any kind of atmosphere and the way the continents are shaded is weird. You're already using quite a lot of colours, so you may as well have gone a little bit further and used a few more to make the continents look better.

It does NOT need AA
and quite alot of colors were needed to make it like that.
Dithering isnt needed in this piece aswell

Yeah I knew, 20 colours. So why not go the extra mile and make it 24 colours and improve the quality of the continents?

Your lighting is still wrong though, as Stephen and I both pointed out.

Elk 10-19-2006 07:52 AM

It's MY planet :D
so it's right

Crono 10-19-2006 08:10 AM

it looks better without AA, the jaggedyness of the corners kind of fit with the apparent bumpyness of the planet.

Elk 10-19-2006 08:22 AM

riiiight

Demisis_P2P 10-19-2006 08:27 AM

Elk doesn't know what you're talking about because the planet isn't bumpy, that's just his lame way of shading the continents. The fact that it looks bumpy is why I told him he should fix them.
