Instead it would be cool if Stefan could add some sort of new item. When applied it would make your character look like that picture Alarid posted above, but in reality you would still be wearing all of your normal equipment.

It should be a skill or a spell, or an alchemy potion made with (already existing o_o) ingredients. So when you cast the spell/use the potion, your appearance changes, all magical-like :D

You could have different spells/potions for different appearances. For example, like a "spell of flight" or a "balm of hermes" to get yourself looking like this winged knight fellow! :D

Well yes that might be appropriate to look like some sort of beast but I do not think a spell should be nessisary to put on some clothing X_X

Why would we use 'irl' Gods when we already have made-up ones?

Because hermes wasn't a god. And why the hell not?! The only difference between using irl ones and making them up is like 5 miligrams of laziness.

You should really update the hard disk in your head.

Why don't you update the hard drive in your head? =/
In greek mythology he's called hermes and he's a messenger of the gods, not one of them. Even if that site does say he's known as mercury to the romans, they sold out to christianity in the end anyway so who cares about what they say =/

You can be the gods' messanger, and still be a god yourself ;) Besides, I believe he was the god of traders and thieves...

Merchants, thiefs, messengers (duh), and travellers.

Whoever Said Hermes is not a God, should start to think before speaking. I study Greek Mythology Hermes is the God of Thieves, Merchants etc... He is refered to as the Messanger of the gods as he was fabbled to be well lets just say in the wonderful graal language uberly fast. Hermes himself was infact and immortal or inscence a god. He was called upon by zeus along with all the other gods to meetings and what nots in myths and was reffered to as a god in one a many myth. IM glad thats cleared up now.

I really like this gear. Looks great. BTW, in my opinion, all event items should have like, a script in it, so that if it's in your menu (Even in a sack), and you have 2 other event items with this type of script, then you can't pick up more. Of course, this is easily avoided, but it might make it to annoying for high levelled people to keep more than 3.

Speaking of NPCs that change your appearance despite what armor you're wearing, I had an idea along those lines. Keep an eye out for that suggestion on the forums.

((My final thought, I think the armor is sexy, and I hope to win the event for it. <3 I can almost imagine myself wearing it already. Hell, I'd probably stop wearing my alchemy gear in favor of this.))

I doubt that would work, seeing how even cubes are event items. How is someone supposed to get a collection of 8 then? Also, with coins, the point is to collect as many as you can. Plus, those high-leveled players most likely have houses, while newbies usually do not, and you could just drop a prize there and no script would know.

Just make a script that you can only equip 2 or 3 even items.

Kaiser2 02-18-2004 03:45 PM

Erm, lemme re-phrase that. Only event weapons would have that script in them. And yes, I know about houses, I voiced my concerns over that in my previous post. The thing is, if they have to keep running back and forth all the time to switch weapons, they'll probably get tired of that and decide to sell those items off anyway.
