You would have used up one key in order to obtain the Big Key, there is only one other small key obtainable, so it's either one of pushing a block from a certain higher level down through a hole to where you have to create a water bridge, or killing all the rats in the level where you take a right turn into the level before the Boss room.

what is the point of releasing quests before Classic is released to the Classic Tab?

Will you guys be disappointed when all the content you have prepared for release ends up being a significantly tiny portion of play time for players since the content is already being completed in large numbers?

He raises a good point.

The goal has never been for Quests to be the sole thing that keeps the majority of players occupied, this is mainly about keeping new visitors on the server interested and online long enough to begin interacting with others through other types of content, so ofcourse we won't be disappointed, it's entirely expected.

I wouldn't consider the forums a 'large number' of actual player-count. Upon re-release they'll probably get up into the 100s or maybe even 200s with new players (iPhone refugees, new people, people who don't want to play UN anymore, etc.).

To me this is more of a "hey we're still alive and making stuff, you should come try it out and give some feedback" basically a beta test and it appears to be working out quite well.

This is true too, if we want to succeed there has to be a certain level of excitement or hype, if we want to be taken seriously as something players will be able to play one day or while unlikely perhaps even "I'd like to help this project" there's no better way to accomplish this than actually going and getting something done and allowing it to be played, as opposed so "Levels are X% done, Systems are Y% done, Quests are Z% done".

As it happens over the last 3 content releases the temporary growth (and expected decline) of playercount has resulted in bouts of Sparring and Events, it seems to work.

I'll say one thing about this. I found Graal on the iPod. The splash screen for iphone says "GRAAL ONLINE CLASSIC." The first time I logged onto pc graal, I typed 'classic' in the box. Maybe other iPhone players will do the same? :)

It already does happen quite frequently, and as more Questing content has been released more of these people have ignored the fact there is little/no playercount (being Under Construction and all) and played through it, some have even adopted Classic as their home server despite its status.

I was playing through the quest with a new player (I guess? Never seen him before) and we got up to a point where we both had a key and no door. After dying 20 times from things like green water (which you can swim in but it can't touch you when it's dripping?) and the door laming rats it all just got frustrating. He logged and I followed shortly after.

I like how the quest is presented and the small details. However, these small things are clouded by the bad use of backtracking and although it shouldn't be easy, it's just confusing and annoying. Another thing I didn't like was that random things changed without either of us actually noticing a change. In a lot of games (including Zelda) the focus is moved from the player onto these "unlocked" areas, and I think that's something you should really look into adding.

Edit: Just read this..

This is most likely where I got stuck, because I can't remember doing this. I would never have thought of that, and I don't see how anyone would seriously come up with that solution on their own.

i only whizzed through the pot part because i saw laura do it
