The Bad: I don't really like the pattern in the top left corner of the parchment, maybe make it look like it's curling up on the edge instead. Also, the wood pattern in the shoutbox creates the illusion of a line going down the length of it. It was the first thing I noticed and I think it detracts from the piece as a whole. One other thing I just noticed, there are two misplaced pixels of color on two of the boards in the shoutbox.

This is more of a suggestion, but could you make the lettering on the buttons pop a little more? They are kind of hard to see.

Behind the parchment used to be more wood. the second box was the same box, shrunken down from side to side. That line is noticable because it really is there, he never bothered to fix it yet. o.o...

Buttons don't look good. Was this inspired from Warcraft 3's interface?

That, my friend, is a brilliant idea.

Don't worry it isn't the first thing I was thinking :D
I guess I havn't been infected by WoW yet.

It's very beautiful, it leaves me thinking back to some excellent good looking DOS games.

I don't know how I feel about the wood, though. I feel like it could be smoothed out a little bit....I'm not sure.

Your Darkshire image is fantastic. I especially like the way you designed the lettering for Darkshire as well as the chains, buttons, and most of the parchment's edge. The only thing I would suggest changing is the wood texture; it does not look as nice as I would expect from you.

The Endresult "Doodle Interpretation" image that you posted looks excellent as well.
