Having the item button on the top center is pretty silly. Should be moved to the bottom left.

Bottom left is reserved for turning left and right if you disable the gyro.

You activate the item by shaking so normally you don't need to tap the item (tapping on the upper half of the screen is enough actually).

I'd love to hear an administrative comment on this; was it intentional or happenstance that they were featured on Engadget?

Next largest tech blog after Gizmodo - Congrats :)

Admins 10-06-2009 04:42 PM

Intentional, we have made press releases for Adrenaline Golf Online and Cocoto Kart Online.

Spark910 10-06-2009 10:00 PM

There is a lot of criticism in this thread. Congratulations on what appear to be some pretty successful app games! It's nice to read some big websites promoting such games and then for users of such sites to compliment it too.

congratulations are entering a new era/platform of games, but don't leave us behind ):

Clockwork 10-22-2009 10:30 PM

New article makes it sound like you better release graal for ipod/phone early next year, otherwise you might lose a large chunk of people looking for a mmo to the other guys ^^

Not really, it's just something they're exploring. After looking at the games that are featured on the App Store, they all seem like generic flash-game'esque minigames when you get passed the frills, and that's just what I expected. I don't know if people really would play an "MMO" on their phone, especially as much as people play it for the PC; it doesn't really make for comfortable or extensive playing.

PC gaming is not that much different actually. People are meeting for raids and then fight for a few minutes. Or they are playing some game and at the same time chat on IMs or so.

Devil 10-23-2009 01:45 AM

I see Stefan is blue named now?

it's more of a question of focus from the two people who run the game between iphone apps and graal

and to answer you and stefan:

an MMO on the road would be much more active and simpler, in terms of making people go on it. on a PC you have the luxury of doing other things as you also play video games, but phones can almost do that as well, and everywhere. graal would be a simple enough platform for this type of MMO, as it (shouldn't) be that graphic intense, and isn't complicated with controls that the phone (iphone at least) couldn't adapt to easily. honestly, it takes about 3 seconds to log onto graal, and then log off. that's the perfect setup for a phone type MMO where people are on the go; maybe add in a playerlist that's usable for accounts online but have their phone locked, just like text-messages function - i bet people would go on it or pay a cheap fee for it

and even if they don't go down any type of route such as i proposed, the focus doesn't exactly seem to be on their PC games (read: graal)

Unixmad is also blue now.

Devil 10-23-2009 08:48 AM

Meh.. probably nothing. But hopefully someone stuffed up so we can have a laugh.

Inverness 10-23-2009 09:25 AM

It's almost as if some people are avoiding responsibility.

And congrats to Eurocenter, I hope some of that success will help Graal.

Depends on the game.

was it some sort of guise to trick us into believing you're only a super mod? you're still listed as an administrator.

Okay, the topic is Euro Center, let's go back to this now. I don't wanna cause another "deleted post wall". Thanks. :)
