Black graal is still broke it disappeared for no reason.

I wasn't paused, in a no-pk zone, logged off, or killed.

DarkCloud_PK 05-29-2009 05:21 PM

For Graal's, I'm gonna try to find other less obscure locations, get rid of the laming ability and look on how to implement it into the S + A drop systems rather than a chat command to give up the graal.

xnervNATx 05-29-2009 05:58 PM

should only use the dark wedding chapel and sting chapel as black graal location

and same for white one but angel clan and other chapel etc.

DarkCloud_PK 05-29-2009 06:07 PM

The idea was to put them in their themed places.
Unfourtunately, a lot of those are hidden away to a degree, and for some reason a lot of them are in the damn catacombs.
wtf ventrue

If you're going to allow them to be dropped in places and left (to which I agree with at an extent) then you should set a 12 or 24 hour limit on how long it will stay there before it resets. I don't think that people want to start exploring the most obscure secret room in the most obscure house, in a warptex that no one has visited since it was created.

DarkCloud_PK 05-30-2009 05:00 PM

i hate the warptex

Rufus 05-31-2009 12:39 AM

I don't know if this is happening for everyone, but for some people the 'relinquishing' of the Black Graal is sending it straight back to its spawn point.

DarkCloud_PK 05-31-2009 06:02 AM

Storm has informed me that he intends fix some things and improve some systems with the graals(including S + A dropping). If you experience any problems or have suggestions you should probably post them here, Storm does read these threads.

EclipsedAngel 06-03-2009 12:43 AM

So I payed pippin 4k for the black graal and I find out that the warptex level is no-pk but doesn't make me drop my graal.

I went to drunken stupor on eclipsedangel but the graal was flashing so I got my riffmetal account and relinquished it to that one, and made it idle in the warptex.

When I got done I relinquished it to my eclipsedangel account, but I came near 100 ap and I think that caused it to blink and I dropped it.

I didn't know that was causing it so I tried relinquishing it in the warptex but my eclipsedangel account couldn't pick it up so I relinquished it outside on the overworld, but it disappeared.

So here are some bugs:
Doesn't blink in warptex
Blinks in some events like Drunken Stupor
Disappeared for no reason when relinquished on the overworld.

MysticX2X 06-03-2009 12:52 AM

Probably because studio a is a non pk level and the graals blink in a non pk level. The event thing disables the effect but I dont think it actually let's you keep the graals like that in a non pk level.

This happens a lot, and not just on the overworld.

Well Storm should totally fix it then.

The Graals will blink and drop in events if the 'No Graals' droppable has not been placed. Otherwise the Graals will become invisible and not be dropped unless you log off or have 100AP; they will not drop if you die or are in a no-PK level.

The relinquish command was put it only for testing really, and causes the Graals to drop in exactly the same way as if you had died. If there are other players nearby it will drop near your body. If there are no other players nearby it will drop at one of its spawn points. This is why the Graals sometimes disappear when you drop them; it is intended behaviour, not a bug. Now that Graals will automatically return to their spawn points if left untouched for a while the latter behaviour is less required, so I can look at changing the way it drops to prevent the confusion.

I don't know why the Graals would not blink in the warptex level if it's non-PK. I will take a look at this. ^^

Instead of them instantly disappearing when being relinquished with no other players around, they should just have a timer on them that counts down when there are no players in the level. Maybe 1-5 minutes? That will get rid of the annoying aspect of them dissappearing instantly when relinquished, and solve the problem of people leaving them in hard-to-find places.

BlackSolider 06-05-2009 06:44 AM

What if they appeared on the map? Would be cool to try and hunt them down.

Polo 06-13-2009 07:45 PM

I've done some more updates.
  • The Graals are now removed from you if you spend too long in water.
  • The Graals will always drop near your person, instead of immediately returning to a respawn point if no-one is around. They still return to a respawn point if no-one picks them up in a reasonable amount of time.
  • The quick drop (S+A dropping) system has been overhauled, and it is now possible to drop the Graals using it.
I'm still looking into a few more things, so let me know if you encounter any further problems or have any more suggestions. ^^
