Fuk that. Original Idea was the best. If you've been shot in the past 30 seconds and you run into a no-pk zone you will remain Pkable for 5-10 seconds.

Okay so I'm sure they will just dodge bullets in the no-pk zone for the rest of the remaining seconds, of course it could just have a higher time limit or none.

Good for them if they can do it in a tiny business shop level.

The system is trying to stop runners. Most of the time people run at 20-40 HP.
I don't think it would be to hard to corner someone and kill them in 10 seconds.

I don't like you're idea because its just stupid. Have no shops in the city ? Have them all across a river where all there is is shops ? That just doesn't seem right to me. They need to be spread out through out the city.

If unstick me continues to be a no-pk zone outside level I know for a fact that I will be able to dodge someones bullets after a few seconds. And don't forget the spar complex is a prime place to run to. If the shops were outside of the city there would be no where to run. And in place for where the shops used to be in the main city could be party bases put back. Or places for gangs to take over or something...btw this was just an alternative idea to my idea of being able to be pk'd in no-pk zones once shot.

The system is not designed to stop every single runner 100 percent of the time.
It will however severely cut down on runners and help to change the way people PK. It is in my opinion the best option we have available.
Also after it's implemented the scripted system could always be tweaked to make sure that it will work.
Not a fan of having every single business all in one little strip across a river.
It would just seem stupid and kind of lazy to do that. The city would be almost completely void of meaningful buildings without shops as well. You don't have to go to the absolute extreme to solve the problem.

Hmm, is it possible to have the non-pk shield timer reset every time you get shot? This way they can't sit there and dodge the bullets until the timer runs out. :confused:

Yeah it is a bit extreme and I think I prefer the other one but Frankie did say he wanted to make a new Gmap anyways. However if people don't want to go to one island to buy stuff then I guess it shouldn't be used. ; ]

I had an idea way back on how the new gmap layout should be.

Basically, the bottom half would be a safe non-pk environment where players can buy items and work without worrying about getting killed. The downfall of it is that items sold there would be much more expensive and jobs would pay much less. The items in Era City would be much cheaper and jobs would pay much more BUT the entire city would be a PK zone, including shops. PPA would be able to gain loads of clients.

If there were a "quality" system then the items in the city could be a lower quality; ex: the guns would would have a chance of misfiring or the tools would have a higher chance at breaking.

But this idea was already overlooked and the new gmap has already been made so this idea is out of luck. :(

Yea, it was just an idea/concept. I added that just in case people would complain about items costing more in the safe zone for no reason. It doesn't have to be done.

Just like they do at the "unstick me" that's out now. That's why the next one shouldn't be any bigger than Recycling Center. Unstick Me is suppose to used for getting out of a stuck situation; not a flipping idling/chatting zone.

that's what I wanted to do in the first place, but you have to realize that the majority of the server will be hanging around the south map where it's no pk. it's not going to help one bit.

Here was my idea for a gmap layout.

Basically, everything would be equidistant from everything.
The hospital and unstick me would be in the center, and the only other possible no pk zones would be some businesses, which are still equidistant from gang bases etc.

These could also server as possible meeting spots before raids which would be great for stimulating the economy. I'm sure if a gang was meeting at the food business before their raid, a few people would spend their money on food.

All other businesses and buildings could be thrown into all of the empty spots, and it would be really easy to create a life-like grid system.

It may be a little to proportionate for some of you, but if you think about the benefits, it'd work out pretty nicely.
