Would you like to elaborate as to why?

Because it was a sweet sketch.

A synonym does not an answer make.

Why don't you just answer the question instead of being a dodgy idiot and turning the question around

farte6 08-16-2008 02:43 AM

I'm already uninterested in his opinion so Im completely fine with just ignoring him.

MrAnonymous_P2P 08-16-2008 05:24 AM

We have all seen this guy be a douche bag before. Just move along. It is nothing new. Just saying you do not like something is not justified at all. And I don't care it doesn't swing your way in overall style, you must still admit that the sketch is really well done.

RosesLove 08-16-2008 08:06 AM

Woah! My jaw dropped when I saw it colored, amazing.. o___o; +Rep

If you like it: spam away.
If you don't like it: write an essay explaining why or we will shun you and throw you in a pit of tar and feathers and write querulous posts!

If we love it, like most of us do, we can't really give any comments on how to improve it, since there's no visible room for improvement.

If you don't like it, you must see where it can be improved. It's usually common courtesy to explain how you think it could be improved.

You don't have to tell Galdor how to improve it, if you like it. You tell Galdor the specific parts that make the piece look good.

If you don't like it, you can tell Galdor the parts that take away from the piece.

What if I believe that every aspect compliments the piece equally?

I think it's pretty clear I feel that way when I say "I love it" or it's "awesome". Kind of obvious. It's not obvious when someone says they dislike it when to me it's mini masterpiece.

And it is not obvious to the person who thinks it is trash when you say it is a mini masterpiece.

That's pretty much how it goes, yes.

LoneAngelIbesu 08-16-2008 09:35 PM

Okay. I don't think it's as awesome as everybody thinks it is. It's not very refined. He spent time on the lower right-hand corner to define the cliff, but neglected to give the background the same amount of definition. Zoomed in, the painting style is very blocky, and not my cup-of-tea. Even though it's better than anything I can do, it could use some work. The feet are kind of small, and there isn't a nose. Also, the shield and sword look like solid stone. >_<

Galdor 08-16-2008 10:07 PM

yes it could use some more work xD the reason the background don't have the same amount of detail as the nearby stuff is because I don't want focus there.

I understand that reason for the far background (mountains, etc), but you stopped detailing exactly where you put Link. You should at least detail the rest of the cliff's ground. :)
