plus theres other servers to play. its not like zones their ONLY choice

Zone is their flagship server, they have to try to tend to it else it'll end up like GK (which it had until Stefan started to give it updates).

This map has been the most popular since Zone was re-released. It basically is Zone. :p

Elizabeth 06-27-2008 03:19 PM

just because one is popular doesnt mean the others dont exist

Barly..Alpha-Spar there's about 5 people who are usually there talking or sparring. Guild Wars and Deathmatch are somewhere between 0-7 players unless there's Events. The rest are dead.

You realize most of them always had 0 people on most of the time? The only ther planet that was useful without events was the spar and I think it's a bit dead compared to how it was before the GMAP was changed.

New people can't buy jetpack because its only available in the gelat shop and most people can't afford to get gelats.

Yeah, but there was a period when Wildcross (CTF) was the most popular, now that was fun...

Yeah, that's because it was removed then re-added months later. People went ohaykewl a new map!!!1 then flocked back to arctic. Just like Zone Wars (<3).

give out crappy jetpacks that get you far enough to not die. keep the better ones in the gelat shop. problem solved

Actually Zone Wars can only be open by an ET..So you cant go on it until its open, just like Platform.

RevolutionJS 06-28-2008 02:43 PM

Just put helis on the base so they can fly away :)

How about a cheap "Jumper Boot" item at the traders' shops, that can allow someone to "jump" over a maximum of two tiles for the cost of all their energy points. A half jump only costs 50 energy, which could be used for getting over the spawn platform's wall, then when it recharges completely, over the cliff. This could be used by anyone, it would only cost ingame money, and it would be a rented item. (Like bowling shoes x_x) The downside of using this rather than a jetpack, is that it has a longer cooldown, due to energy consumption, the operator, if a trial, can't put it on hotkeys- they need to switch to it in inventory, then take it off and replace it with a weapon shortly after using it, and it's not great in combination with energy weapons of any kind. (Not Plasma, Plasma doesn't use energy. :whatever:)

even better!
see? problem solved!

That's a pretty good idea, except as you said, with no hot keys it can be pretty easy to lame a trial who just used that.

Back on topic, I think that a 10 seconds of immunity would be far much better than a whole minute.

Which gives them another reason to upgrade, to be able to use hotkeys.

I'd say base laming gives them reason to buy a jetpack as well.

I don't see what everyones problem is with base laming now. Everyone else has dealt with it and has been pretty successful. Is everyone nub now or something?

Actually no.

Ravenblade1979 06-29-2008 06:19 AM

actually yes crono. Zone Wars and Platform both have to be open via ET command.

All planets can be opened via ET command. Its the only way to open them when their closed :).

And I think you need to read what Crono posted lol. He was talking about how Zone wars used to be cool, then died down then they re-released it to make people say "OMG NEW PLANET"

That, but more importantly how people flocked back to Arctic after a while of Zone Wars.

Hmmmm, I'd REALLY like to see where players would go if we would hide Iricia for a while. We could try for one week or a few days then the new "Adopted" planet might be the one who will always be used. It's as if there is five people at the same place, if more than two go to the same place then all will follow. All we'd need is a few players to know that Iricia is hidden, go somewhere and everybody would follow. Somehow, I'd like it to happen because I'm tired of Iricia. I want CTF or GWars to be played the most.
