Linux is supposed to be free, unless you order it on a CD-ROM. Of course, I can't say the same for all the other stuff... Linux forever! Hey Stefan, was it difficult to write a GraalScript interpreter? Did writing it in Delphi help at all?

Oh by the way... I would have bought and learnt Delphi a long time ago if it weren't for its un-portability to other OSes. That's why I love C/C++, python and perl, and hate BASIC/VB.

There are a lot of good ones on the internet, but they're written by programmers with a bit of spare time, so they usually assume you have several languages under your belt already... you might want to try Sam's Teach Yourself C (or C++) in 21 Days. You'll get much more programming logistics than cool graphics libraries and stuff, but that's what's really important and (for most people) hard to learn.

I just finished reading my C++ non obj oriented programming book and Im now a fully functional novice non obj oriented c++ programmer in about two days or so I will get the obj oriented book and learn obj oriented c++ I know alot of NPCscripting and a little of VB; I heard Delphi is easier than C++, so I could learn it if I wanted after I am done my C++ education.

Hrm, yeah... kinda selfish of me to ask, really. But do you at least know a tutorial on the internet or something? Maybe a good book on the subject?

actually theres a difference between hacker, cracker and phreaker..
hacker and cracker are most alike. except a hacker does things for knowledge and a cracker does it to destroy something. most ppl who call themselves hackers are really crackers.
and a phreaker deals with things like telephone and connections and stuff like that.
the media uses hacker for all of the terms actually ..

's the other way around. "True" hackers invented Linux, and generally just enjoy programming and doing cool things with their web servers. They're kinda like jedi knights. Then there's a group called (by "true" hackers) crackers, who break into people's computers and do nasty things. Since thy generally have a lot of talent, they're kinda like the dark side of the force. They also write cracks for programs by scrutinizing the assembly code of a programs and then writing clever programs that remove registration checking. Then there are script kiddies, who break into other's computers using a program like Sub7, not having any clue what they're doing, just to impress their friends. And finally, there are people who buy software then distribute it for free (illegally) over the internet. These people are below even script kiddies, because they need no talent whatsoever. Ironically, the media calls all the above groups except "true" hackers, hackers.

the main guy who was programming Linux did it cuz he didnt like how windows was.
but now Linux is mostly used for server. that makes it the main hacking tool. Linux has alot more stuff and its not so picky like windows and its open source. so its a lot easier to hack and packet people and do all that fun stuff.

Yes, I know what mIRC is, and I am quite aware of the content of some IRC channels. I guess it take quite some skill to set up a good bot. I was unfair in labeling all software pirates as having no talent whatsoever... all I'm saying is, it takes only basic computer knowledge to buy some program and put all the files on the CD into a multipart archive, maybe downloading some crack that someone else made. Thus, it takes no talent to pirate software, but some software pirates have talent. Sorry if I offended you.

Because it might reveal important facts about how Graal is programmed thus causing that people would make their own Graal and removing all the hard work he's done over the last 3 (?) years.

and those levels are prolly built into graal like the soccer script used to be .. maybe if u played it offline and u had deleted the levels (that is if they were levels) it would mess up Graal or something
