TrueHeaT and Co. Insult everybody these days. :(

Fai 07-23-2001 09:08 AM

Something like THAT would be damn cool, maybe not a barrel but something wooden or animals for the bomies to ride and attack with.

Wouldn't bomies look a little odd running around as 10 foot robots?

I have to agree with THT.
They look a little TOO futuristic.
Maybe something like THT said,A bone one. Or maybe a wooden one with wooden gears that move the arms/legs.

The Bone idea would look neat
Maybe the power to morph into a bigger and little bit stronger creature but it would be limited by some sort of bomb count or mana count...or is that what you guys are talking about?

T-Squad 07-23-2001 09:20 AM

Yes! So make a wooden robot like my barral thing and a bone one :D Cause...unless they add a future time period or something...that metal robot, which not even today they make anything that looks as advanced as that, will not come even close to fitting in. They would be the outcasts...everyone would make fun of them :( poor, poor, outcast robots which don't fit in...they should get burned, to end their pain :(

this is dumb if these things get up and graal turns into GUNDAIM WING ONLIEN i will not re-upgrade my accounts.

I dont think it will turn into that
However I'm not going to upgrade my account again untill it gets less boring and more fun and or a RPG World

Ok here's the way I see it. Gonmon is trying to make bomys become more human-like by letting them use mechs (of the future!). But I think bomys should not be more human-like. They should keep a balance of advantages/disadvantages without making every thing equal.
For example: Humans are faster on land, but slower in water. And bomys are faster in water, but slower on land. So there is a good balance.
Another example: Humans have good offense, but not as good defense as bomys. And bomys have good defense, but not as good offense as humans So there is a good balance, without making everything equal.
But what Gonmon is doing is trying to make everything equal, by giving bomys and humans the same offense and the same speed etc. And that ruins the uniqueness of the races.

TrueHeaT:
Exaaaactly...
Why not continue to make the bomy race more unique with its own culture instead of this stupid alien physcic metal bomies (of the future!) thing. Gonmon, you should work on things like new tree village tilesets for bomies and underground and underwater places.

IceHawk 07-23-2001 09:35 AM

A bone thing would be awesome, and I would like to see a war between Bomys and Humans.
Like make Bomys walk around Antora attacking any humans, and vice-versa.

TrueHeaT: That would be neat compared to the robot
even better would be a giant 4 legged creature bade of bones entirely that the bomies could control and attack with

 you have made me want to make something like that :D this time im gonna make sprites and animations...and it wont be for g2k1 but for my server :-P they will be creatures you can tame and train as pets...:-D...maybe i will make it for g2k1, just to get 1 thing of my work on there....hehe im off to work on it, this time it wont be a concept thing

Rekad 07-23-2001 10:02 AM

my fun ultraviolent idea- Bomys rip off humans heads, jump onto their necks, and control the body with their psychic powers, Low-tech, ingenious, and gory at the same time!!!!!! and it would be simple, it would just be the bomy sitting with a human body under it, and maybe blood it would leave a blood trail just for fun!

Make a third race then. These guys will have slightly stronger defensive and offensive powers, but they will have an upkeep cost, meaning they must pay gralats for equipment to keep them upgraded

I can't say I'm fond the metal robot (of the future!) idea, but I really, really like the bone idea. Why? It sparked a number of ideas which I think are incredibly awesome, but I'm not going to go into detail. But I thought of it like this: In the case of the bone thing, it could be like an adaptable exoskeleton for the Bomy that it could possibly grow and expand to cover and become big and walking giant type thingie. :) But only for a short period of time as it would slowly drain bomb count or health or maybe mana or something, but I can elaborate if people want me to. :)

****ING BLAH!

07-23-2001 11:54 AM

I didn't read above, Beowulf. Did you support the bone or wooden Bomy things? Because I don't see what good it would do if a Bomy sits inside of a big bone thing. Very little. Which is why I like the idea of temporary body expansion. I've seen a couple gani's which could be adapted to the transformation sequence, also, and it's not like they would be uber-powerful. They'd just expand to fill the big bone skeleton thing, and you could possibly have different skeletons and stuff that would have different effects..hmm...

T-Squad 07-23-2001 11:56 AM

Yay someone likes my idea :D *feels special*

Wow your so smart! Does it say (Beowulf) above my post?

Big bone skeleton thing? Jesus please shut up!

07-23-2001 11:59 AM

I thought I saw Beowulf. :D Sorry about that, a bottle of pepto bismol does no good. Yes. Big bone skeleton thing, for lack of another name. The graphic that Soul Blade displayed, which I actually like[Unlike all of Soul Blade's other work]...It sparked my interest.

G_yoshi 07-23-2001 12:03 PM

I do not know if I am correct, but it appears to me that this was already pre-determined. There is no sense is attacking until we know for sure how it actually functions online. As far as mixing stuff, anyone recall the Magitek machines from FF6? They fit perfectlly into the game, and this will too. If you don't like it, then leave it alone. For all we know, it maybe restriced to use on Mt. Antora. And we all know that hardly anyone visits there ;) As with everything, there are limits, so its not like it's going to kill in 1 hit, it will probably still do .5 damage, unless they make it do 1 full heart, then humans would need the L2 sword :D

I have nothing wrong with voicing opinions, but at least give it a chance before you go bashing it. Who knows, you may actually turn out to like it :D But if you have the attitude that this will harm graal, then in your eyes it will.

if bomys get something like that then I want a mech (from the Future!) that has a spin attack plus a regular attack!

Well, these ones look alot more polished and high tech, with the soft chair, the black metal...it looks so secure and everything. Plus, i dont got levers like the magitec ones did...plus the color is old looking and such....but other then that you are right. Look at Robo in Chrono Trigger...he fit in fine with the middle ages in CT.

Maybe stefan will add the spin attack after the BAES is released. I do not know where you people get the impression that it is from the future, gonmon never said there was a time machine and that bomys went to the future and came back with that.

How would you feel if something you worked hard on was heavily criticized before you even got a chance to actually demonstrate it? And do not retort with the something along the lines, 'well, it my thing would not have come from the future.' Just grow up, already. You don't have to sit there and act like children and whine when something doesnt go your way. This is life, deal with it

kyle0654 07-23-2001 01:23 PM

If these run off bombs then it's almost certain that humans will get bombs...there are other ways though...maybe buy fuel...

All the suits do (as far as I know has been planned for like 3 or 4 months) is amplify the bomies' natural abilities, and possibly add like one more for each type of suit. Speed, hp, maxhp, defense (yup, bomies use hp and defense), and attack power I think are the customizable variables for bomies. I think each suit might have a special ability with it...I dunno what Gonmon has planned there though.

No need to worry...Gonmon isn't stupid, he won't let things get unbalanced...and if he does, I'll steer him back on path.
