I got another story, last one I promise.
It was about the Legendary Safe-Trade Cid.

It was a joined kingdom event, Between Forest and Crescent Pirates.
Forest had to sink Alan, and we had to protect him. Naturally, we succeeded although Forest did put a good fight.
Well after the event was over, Alan was giving out the pirzes.. and Cid accidently hit one of his spell hotkeys while Alan was giving someone a Ring of Combat, the spell was buring hands and it destroyed the ring.
Ever since that day, Cid got his nickname Safe-Trade Cid.
Fun times.

Aye, That story stuck in my head. It was a great day. Shame that Cid left.. he was a good friend.

MadScience7 06-27-2007 08:14 PM

One of my favorite events was the all kingdom pow-wow organized by Bosh, then ruler of Samurai (you can see a screen shot from this in Draenin's post). One of the conditions imposed by Samurai was that they would have escort boats sent to each kingdom, to escort the leaders from that kingdom who would be attending the event. No other boat traffic was supposed to occur to interfere with the ambassador's arrival or interfere with the sanctity of the Samurai home waters. Well, of course upon hearing this big crock-o-crap, I got the CP leaders together and we planned for the introduction of chaos and disaster. Sure enough, on the day of the event we sunk the Samurai escort boat, invaded the Samurai home waters with 8 ships and basically sank the whole lot of Samurai, some poor Zorimte transport ships and anything else that moved. Oh yeah, and we blockaded the island. It was fun to sit in the event and watch Bosh and crew fume and get distracted over the goings on outside while trying to maintain civility. The Pirate heroes that day were Harbormaster Cheops, Mayor Zeltino and a host of others. Yet another event where CP members answered the challenge, showed up en masse, and demonstrated great skill and loyalty.

((One of the post-event happenings in the forums was great as well. A member of Samurai accused a CP noob of talking OOC during the boat event, saying we needed better RP enforcement. To which Cheops responded that Samurai wasn't exactly a role model in this department, unless "wtf my boat is glitched" is Japanese for something to do with outstanding RP ;))

Ha ha.. Good ole' Cheops. I sure miss him, he thought me how to boat battle.
That event sounded like great fun. I wish I was there for it. I think I do remember that event going on though. It was on my 1st or 2nd week in CP.

You people sure do know how to twist history into your favor. You've lost plenty of battles against my forces.

Quite obviously not enough to count.

/end flaming

lordbosh 06-27-2007 10:20 PM

Almost every battle you people mention were ones you've ultimately lost in.

You took Zormite while I was asleep, using stupid kids and horrible staff as a shield. There was no honor in it, and everyone that was there at the time against me now says what a mistake it was to have not let me continue and win. You brought this all on yourselves.

Graal Kingdoms dies.

Uhh.. what? That war was arranged for that time, It's not our fault you couldn't be bothered to get online for it.

Ravenblade1979 06-27-2007 10:40 PM

I do agree bosh. The time and everything was set for that war. Like Fayt said. Not our problem if you couldn't be bothered to get up and help your fellow Zormites out.

For naval battles, I call the last boat standing a win. And for at least all the boat battles I was on for, that was CP in all cases. As for land battles, you and your forces fought well and with organization several times and won them, just not the entire war. But that's no matter now, as I head out to sea with my fishing pole and rum I will remember and respect you for fighting honorably in the big battles - not running away to die or giving up against superior odds. You inspired your forces to take on the world, and had some good battles and successes. Well done, my old foe.

Googi 06-27-2007 11:30 PM

The war was an irrelevant factor. Do you think that if Zormite had won, the staff would have just gone "olol, looks like we lost"? They had decided to seize Zormite, and thus its seizure was an inevitability. The war (and more importantly, rank hijacking) were just a pretext, and Alarico and the other kingdoms just happened to play into their hands.

jaws908 06-28-2007 12:27 AM

Either way this doesnt really hold much to the point of this thread. Mind staying on topic? *cough*Bosh*cough*

Stay on topic??? You don't read forums very often, do you? :asleep:

lordbosh 06-28-2007 02:15 AM

Best we all get the crap off our chest anyway since this is the final hoorah.

You were a cool dude Alan, I just wanted to conquer the world, and you were on the opposing side.

pfft...not likely to happen
Especially if he just leaves and ignores it all (any bashing,arguing...)
You can't slay an enemy that's gone.

Ravenblade1979 06-28-2007 03:32 AM

Actually staff had nothing to do with zormite. Alarico screwed with a rank bug and almost go banned for it.

How would you know this? Draxx has said that it was pre-arranged with staff.

CidNight1142 06-28-2007 02:55 PM

Oh no! So sad to see you go, Alan. This is really a sad day for GK. You were the greatest kingdom leader GK has ever seen, and that is a fact. May you have a wonderful life, and tell the wife and kids hello!

I fear this may be the final nail in the coffin for GK.

Eh, that whole war was a farce. The staff were unwilling it deal in the RP decisions that were made, and thus made the whole thing pointless. However, it was fun and it was lively and some of the most activity GK had seen in a really long time.

Yeah, but I'm inactive now so I don't get to talk to him much. It is good that he'll still be playing - I just hope CP doesn't turn into every other kingdom with a new leader every three days.

3 years is a very long time compaired to how long the kingdoms.
Zormite has changed leader about 4 times over the last year. And Dustari changed leader a lot until John came to power.

I agree, 3 years is a long time compaired to the other leaders. But i hope the new leader will stay around for a few years.

Exactly why he was so successful. Alan is the reason that CP has been the most popular kingdom for three years running.

His name will go down in GK history for what he has done and made CP the most powerful kingdom that has ever been on GK.

I agree with that, Alan made CP what it was. Although he will argue that it was down to all the loyal CP members. You know how stuborn he is.

-.- I have been playing this game for over two years. Everyone knew after the fact that Alarico was using a Rank bug to screw people over. Staff's only intervention was to give power to someone else. Nothing more. Other then that it was the players who did the work. Actually more then me knew about this Googi.

Yes yes.. whatever.
Can we get back to the orignal topic?

CidNight1142 06-28-2007 07:31 PM

I still don't know why everyone talks about this stuff still. Alarico was a tool, pretty much the end of the story.

Ravenblade1979 06-28-2007 07:46 PM

This sounds like a conclusion you made by looking at what happened on the ground. My information comes from someone who was involved with what happened behind the scenes.
