omfg how do you people not know Hell Raven?

wtf. I even knew of Hell Raven back before I actually ever even talked to him.

I knew Hell Raven as the person that helped leech the gservers and use trainers.


I only recently heard that he scripts, and apparently he must either script well or have friends in high places.


A lot of people probably don't know who Hell Raven is. I only even knew Hell Raven from sparring, never from developing.

Hell Raven is (and hopefully will still be) the head of Classic Development. Now he is also a GST ^^.

I thought global staff could not work for any specific playerworld. But I suppose this would only concern PWA as it was stated during the whole PWA Application phase.

Hell Raven doesn't get around much, seeing as the only server I've seen him on was on NP Dev waiting for Ducati.


That is honestly the only place I've seen him and I usually go around from server to server when I get bored.


Apparently you have to work for classic to be global or something, since Bell came from classic also and I never even heard of Bell. Ironically, though, classic isn't even classic anymore. They have a custom movement system and a custom hp system and heaven knows what else.

I worked for UN for ages. I also managed Enigma. I worked for SL. I worked for Babylon. I created Adiare with Tyriel and crew. I work for Classic, obviously. I do not understand why you attempt to stir up a mess in every thread.

Listing what you did in the past is illogical when all of those servers, besides UN and Classic of course, are long gone and express nothing that you've done recently. I worked on SL for years on and off and I worked on UN as well, so that's not saying much.


I'm not trying to stir up any mess. Some people were wondering why they've never heard of you and it's very well possible to have never heard of you because you arn't, like for example, Skyld, who was well known even before he became GST.


Regardless, you'll get mad at anyone not kissing your feet that is being rebellious towards you or so. And it's not only you, it's the same with everyone. Nobody likes to be told anything negative (unless of course they ask for it).


I don't know you at all from a developmental perspective so I have nothing to say about your scripting abilities or anything of the sort. But, the point is, you havn't done anything to make you well known, like for example, again, Skyld.

I remember that. ArchAngel and Scalper got in trouble for it also.

Obviously someone knows of his abilities as a scripter, since he has become a GST member.

I am not getting mad? You said you only saw me on npulse dev, so I replied with what else since that was false, and I just wanted people to know the facts. (something you often say).

It is irrelevent to me who kisses my feet. When people ask for scripting help I offer it. I enjoy helping others when they need it. I didn't do it for the reputation. I had no idea I was even being concidered for GST until Skyld offered it. I am more known then you think.

I'd like to drop this now, you can take it to a PM if you wish.

Just because he's GST doesn't tell me anything, especially with how globals have been hired in the past.


I'm not saying he's a bad scripter, I have no basis to judge. I have no input on his scripting talent. It seems that Skyld finds him worthy enough and so it happened. Assuming Skyld is reliable as he has been, I'd say that Hell Raven could possibly script well, but I wouldn't know personally.



I scripted on UN as well, back before RC2 where you'd scroll through the weapons list horizontally I believe, and UN had like over 100 wNPCs, most of which were just taking up space.

Skyld knows what he is doing. Can't you just offer congratulations since that is what this thread is about? :frown:

Good point. I think the only global that I even hear of anymore that isn't a crazy classic kid is Houdini, I think Skyld too..

But then you have Bell and Ibonic..

To be 100% honest with you, I don't know how being GP, or anything on classic (A server with sophisticated human beings, and no I'm not being sarcastic) is going to prepare you for anything in the 'graal world'..

Classic used to max out at 300+ people...
Besides, I didn't know all experiencing handling people came from graal :) Bell is plenty capable.

?, I'm not sure who this is directed at but last time I checked this was a thread congratulating Hell Raven on his appointment to the GST. If your intention is to bash me I do believe thats covered in another thread. If its to bash Houdini, Vulcan or Ibonic. I'm sure there must be a thread somewhere to post in. What server or servers anyone is associated with seems to be immaterial.

Gambet, I don't understand how you could not know him well. Me, you, Hell Raven, Malinko, James and Inspiration spent countless hours doing development work on N-Pulse not too long ago when End of Ages and N-Pulse merged content.


How others don't know him, I don't know how they don't. Hell Raven isn't classic-only, since I'm pretty sure he has helped with Babylon, Enigma, N-Pulse, and maybe a few other public playerworlds in the past. What I am surprised at is that nobody has brought up his past affiliations. lol

I think I mentioned his anti graal stage.


And I REALLY don't remember EVER developing with Hell Raven. Like no lie, I don't.

I remember developing with you, James, Malinko, and Inspiration, but not Hell Raven.

Bell has been much more of an Admin on classic than a GP honestly. She's beyond qualified.

Hell has been coding since I can remember, on and off of graal, and he's damn good at it. He's worked on countless projects on tons of worlds.

Both are qualified and capable.

Kristi does not have to live up to your expectations: no-one does. If you want to congratulate him then do so but do not try and discredit him since you don't know who he is. Bringing up his past actions and the fact that you do not know who he is won't do anything since Skyld has chosen him with good reason.

Consistant bad-mouthing just shows jealousy. Either accept the fact Kristi is an excellent candidate for the job and well respected within the scripting community and the graal community as a whole or go sulk in the corner but do not try to discredit him!

Oh, I know Hell Raven, just not for any of the reasons that you know him for.

Yes I know of his past. How long until he is redeemed in your eyes? I don't feel like getting into one of your "I've already won" arguments but just leave your discrediting crap out of this. The admins know of Kristi's past yet they have accepted him. You should too.
