Oh please were not asking for much we just want you to tone down and stop flexing your "internet muscles". Look at Sam or any other Mod we don't have a problem with them and they do their job quite well. (Better than you in most cases.) I suggest you check your ego and get in touch with the members of the forum.

I think you need to reevaluate where you get your information from. I believe Sam is at the top of the list here for over-moderating.

i don't think sam is that bad he is pretty good he knows what spam is though so most of my posts get deleted though.... all I know is that if I were to come to a game just like this with mods like some of the mods no names I think I would get put off from playing the game because I would view the people in positions of power as people who hate everyone.... and I wouldn't htink they are friendly.

I think they just need to have a way where we can 5 mods per forum like on gk but for one forum and they form a system and then we have head honchos who ONLY oversee that they are not abusing there powers and don't delete posts.... I think it would be easier that way, But it might cause trouble with infractions... Im not sure.

zell12 01-25-2007 11:24 PM

That would be pretty much like giving everyone on here mod rights to a different forum? idk, it would take too long to do anything, and its silly.

All we want is for mods to lighten up, and someone look at these rules, I don't think I've gone to a board with all those different rules/guidelines... whatever you call them.

Flaming Moonie's moderation was so 2004. Get with the times man. Lol @ "Look at Sam...we don't have a problem with them".

zell12 01-26-2007 12:02 AM

Yeah I do that all the time :p bad habit

No, it's not, stop putting words in our mouth. Putting words in our mouths and attacking those gets you no where, and only proves how flawed your logic is. Stop doing it, now.
We're asking for a moderator that would be more lenient, one with more sense (like splitting threads, modifying posts, etc), one with less bias, who cares about what the users thing, and allows mature discussions.
They need to understand this generation.
You fit none of the qualities that it takes to be a good moderator. The only reason you are is because you're older and have been playing long enough to get to know Unix. You logically are not fit for the position, and have it only due to friendship.
You have single handily made these forums worse, and Sam is even doing it too. (Although Sam isn't quite as bad).

Whoa, whoa, whoa.
You know, I am really tired of you acting like you know everything.
I have the position that I have because Unixmad has grown to trust me over the years, not because we are friends.
We have gone over this rule thing so many times, and it is always the same thing. Get rid of Moonie because she wont be leniant on the rules, and I keep telling you that Unixmad does not want an admin or mods that are leniant on the rules, he wants them to strictly enforce the rules. This is not an assumption on my part, he has said this. That is why I was hired as a supermod, and that is why I was promoted to admin, because he knows I will do the job the way he wants it done.
If I do not do the job the way he wants, he will find someone who will, period.

Again, another thread that goes right into mod bashing, rule bashing, etc....you just never quit.

zell12 01-26-2007 01:57 AM

Don't blame the thread. Blame the posts. There is one of your problems Darlene.

When a thread like this is made, it always ends up the same. No good comes out of it at all, ever....

PrinceDark 01-26-2007 02:03 AM

Darlene, I believe people are wanting you to start discplining Sam for the nonsense he starts with people in personal messages.

I will say it again, I have not recieved one PM from the people that this was supposidely done to complaining.
Did you forget that there is a forum PM option to personally speak with me?

PrinceDark 01-26-2007 02:06 AM

Okay then, perhaps it is time to begin.

The problem here is that you're operating from the premise that criticism (or at least public criticism) is something "bad" or even "dangerous" and that it has to be "gotten rid of," and are looking only at the two ways to get rid of it. Either by forcibly removing it or by relenting to it. You aren't regarding allowing the criticism to exist publicly and not doing either as an option. People want their criticisms to be addressed, true, but far more than that they want to be able to freely discuss them with others.

Evenglare 01-26-2007 02:51 AM

Darlene you keep saying that this is a job. Its not a job. Volunteer work to moderate a forum. You are making it difficult on yourself...

Anywho, time to lighten the mood...

Yeah, and you wouldn't trust a backstabber with reign over your forums.

Huh? Who said anything about a backstabber? I am showing that Unixmad and I have a business relationship built on trust, and that it does not necessarily have to be based on friendship. Why do you keep adding stuff? Leave it alone.

killerogue 01-26-2007 04:15 AM

Cali, give up man. :(...Alot of your points are really innacurate.

zell12 01-26-2007 04:16 AM

lol darlene you work for real? Or when people ask you what you do for a living, do you say you moderate a board? jw

killerogue 01-26-2007 04:17 AM

King Ban is about to smack you zell. :( Lighten up.

Okay.
So you got the position because he trusted you.
Why?
Why not anyone else?

Could it have been you were in a position of power, played graal, and were older than the audience, and he believed that older people would help him govern better?
Of course, the problem with this is you shouldn't bee seen as a police force.

Infernix 01-26-2007 05:16 AM

I pretty much based Moonies position off the fact that she used to be manager of npulse and shes OLLDLDLDLDLLDDDD...er.
We all know her history in high positions isn't a pretty one. This is just like when Bush hired some guy who ran horse tracks to some high position that I dont know the name of at the moment. (Those people who failed to help in New Orleans)

Trust was built between Unixmad and I over the years starting from when I was Manager of N-Pulse. It has nothing to do with any position of power which I have never had, nor my age. It is something that happens in job related situations when people work closely together, or discuss a great deal of work related ideas and such. Why are you making such a big deal about this? Why does it even matter?

So why not the other trustworthy people managing servers?
I'm questioning why he chose someone as unfit for the position as you to do this.
And, if he does consider you fit for the position, then he has some business classes he should attend.

Unlike you, I do not feel the need to bash someone when in a discussion, and since you continually do so, I will no longer hold a discussion with you. It is not worth my time. This being said, if you would like to know why Unixmad made a decision, then ask him. I am not a mind reader.

Once more, putting words in my mouth.
I don't want lenient rules so I can call someone a ***** (although getting banned for it is weird), just so I can talk about more than TV shows, or *my girlfriend*. :\
And you sure as hell act like a mind reader. Always knowing exactly what Unix wants.
Either you had a few months of training (straight), or you're making things up.

I know what Unixmad wants by talking to him often, and by asking questions. I don't see how this is so difficult to understand.
