Not bad. I don't have much to say really, it's pretty tight.

Really like the water, now you must make more cliff tiles (the rest of the directions), plain water tile, sandpath tiles, sand/cliff tiles, then someone can use this for a level. Very nice job Luda.

add a texture

Alright I got bored so I've decided to work on this again, even though I don't play Graal anymore. I'm going to start working on making the cliffs higher, adding water cliffs, and making water turn to to sand with those slant "thingamabobber" tiles, and yes I know the grass sucks, I'm going to work on that!

killerogue 02-04-2007 08:06 AM

Hot cliffs mang. :)

I don't care for the grass having textured details. It looks really nice with the simple-color pastel look.

Heres an update :D
If you have any suggestions feel free to post them.

I really like it Luda. Have always been a fan of your work :)

i think you need to pick a solid light source and shade your cliff tiles appropriately, and not just rock by rock. Dont be afraid to pick some darker tones.

other than that i like the shaping. not bad

Infernix 02-08-2007 01:22 AM

I dont like the grass ages because they look like what people call "pillow shaded"

The grass edges are the coolest part. If you look closely it's just 3 shades of green that he's used to create layers.
It's more like vectoring than pillow shading.

Infernix 02-08-2007 03:02 AM

To bad using a low amount of colors doesn't make it cool to me.

Luda 02-08-2007 03:13 AM

alright, thanks for the suggestions, I guess I'll use more colors. :O

Yeah but using more colours would make it look pillow shaded because it'd become a transition and not layers.

Just amazing :D
I hope you make a nice tileset with it :p

edit: wait, forgot to look at the date of the thread >_<

I've changed the cliffs, tell me which is better old or new?

Those red lines make it really difficult to determine which is better... perhaps you could make a version that's solid?

I would say the cliff on the left... although I find the contrast is very low.
