Keep in mind Klay was banned, my man Endlessx didn't show, and Lylic got his items stolen/joined CP. Thats alot of missing muscle. All the magic use was causing HORRIBLE lag. We were just plainly outnumbered.

And yes, sadly, members of CP did use restoration scrolls.

Actually, Lylic was already going to quit Dustari and fight for Pirates right before the battle started. But he didn't do muhc today since his stuff got H@xz3d.

No... not really... I had to do a lot of evasive manuvering and consumable popping.

Evasive manuvering, lol. Running in a zig zag type and popping Restore scrolls, you had like 1000 of them.

Draenin 10-01-2006 03:31 AM

Well, you can either fight with skill or with intelligence, and Ed happened to go with the latter.

ilovecurry 10-01-2006 04:48 AM

I didnt see any CP using Restoration scrolls. I think Ed was the only one using them.
Heehee, got my first 6 PKs in that battle...
4 of them were SaiyanOozaru. One was princess Kay :p

Look who's talking. You're the restoration king. You restored on me twice during the war. You restore all the time buddy.

SayianOozaru 10-01-2006 06:23 AM

Does it really matter that much about whos using the scrolls? x_x

They were made for a reason, they weren't created by Stefan so no one would use them x_x

Were you in that group of 5 newbs? x_x

ilovecurry 10-01-2006 04:24 PM

Nope. I was sorta just running around, using cause serious wounds, and when i had enough mana i would shoot a flurry of bullet swarms. Didnt really stay with a group.
Next time theres a war, i should have enough phys to use more than just magic ;)

Yes it does. An RP war is different to a spar or PKing. How to judge a winner if ppl using scrolls in masses or fight event when they was killed several times?

I vote for a k-mode where such things have to be regulated by a controlling system. Much more important is strategy for instance.
While most of the pirates were fighting, Googi enters the castle by zeppelin.
Such things count much more, than people like Vamp using restoration and flee like a coward in houses when he is almost dead.
GK is (or better was) an RP server and different to Zone or classic.

lordbosh 10-01-2006 04:52 PM

If this was an RP battle half of you would have been instantly paralyzed from so much damage taken from my darkflame firing a massive cone of shadow energy at you guys. Its kind of strong.

Also, when my darkflame delivers the killing blow, it absorbs some of your spirit, tainting it, making you a bit demonic. I roll a 1d10, to determine the percentage (1-100%) if you get to 100 you are a full fledged demon, ask john.

Also in RP I can summon to me a nice amount of demons to aid me in battle, they would be casting down alot of fire damage and attacking for poison damage(not the weak demons we currently have, more of skeletal demons).

The disadvantage is that I can only use my sword's shadow cone power once per week, and my summoning once per day.

When I see someone charging me with a sword in hand, maybe I should just stand there, bend over, and kiss my ass goodbye. /sarcasm

Maybe I wouldn't pop 32 Restoration scrolls if the magic system didn't suck so badly.

Googi 10-01-2006 06:17 PM

The problem with scrolls is that you can use them whenever you want and the spell takes effect instantaneously. Scrolls should just allow you to cast the spell, meaning that to use a restoration scroll you would have to have your wand out and you would lose 100 grace for using it.

Scrolls would be entirely pointless then. We already spend the base cost of the spell to write it to the scroll in the first place.

That could be removed or the cost could be split (50 when writing the scroll and 50 when using it.)

ilovecurry 10-01-2006 06:38 PM

IF this had been a true RP battle, then people wouldnt pop restoration scrolls,
or come back to life 4 or more times.
There REALLY needs to be a k-mode

okay imagine a tournament.

1 pirate vs 1 fully armoured knight.

who's win?
i'd bet my chips on the knight.

Pirates are decent on land but their true strengh is at sea where it is the opposite for knights.

I soak your darkflame, backhand you, then sit down and watch the last season of House.

The last season of house is horibbly boring :P

That must be rough. I have this downfall where I can't use shadow cones or summon demons at all. But hey, why RP when you can powergame...MIRITE?

Some of us like RPing as someone that isn't useless.
