I was just trying to kill time before the new GATs are announced on UN. So, I went and lightened the tree trunk, the little box, and the pot a little. Does that help, or make it worse? Thanks for yalls input again, it's really appreciated.

Well, you're on the right track. Your problem I think is being a little afraid of making the shading and lighting too different from the base color. I tweaked it using an image program, just messing with the brightness/contrast/gamma and got this:
