Actually, no one ever went over the 'correct' way to become a mod, unless I missed that in the Noob training course.

Generally whenever a moderator quits people go into the thread on the subject and start saying who should take their place. Unix and Stefan will never admit it but the next mod always seems to come from one of these names...
