SSSHHH Dante, watching Lycia contradict herself is fun!

Tyhm 03-27-2001 11:05 AM

I wish I was still a newbie. Granted, I didn't have the mad skillz I have now, my tiling and NPC work was incredibly lame (I'm ashamed of the original version of the Ninja Quest...), but I had a whole lot more energy.
'course, back then I was on a catharsis binge off a string of rejections a mile long, but eh.

FatherDante 03-27-2001 11:08 AM

Did NPC scripting give you your pride back, Tyhm? :D

Tyhm 03-27-2001 11:35 AM

Nope. Never got it back. Dunno if I had that much to begin with...hubris and all. But that's the whole point of a catharsis, you don't heal so much as distract yourself from the pain. But that's life.

FatherDante 03-27-2001 11:37 AM

awww Tyhm.... that's depressing. :(

Tyhm 03-27-2001 11:39 AM

Yeah, that's life too.
I do my best work when I'm in pain.

FatherDante 03-27-2001 11:41 AM

Well, that's just frightening, but you do such good work! :D

Lycia 03-27-2001 11:41 AM

I know another reason why Tyhm's in pain.

*shakes her fist at a certain female*

FatherDante 03-27-2001 11:43 AM

I'd hope he's a little more emotionally resillient than that.

I don't know.

Spyder5782 03-27-2001 11:47 AM

Hmmmm. I don't consider myself an oldbie or a newbie. But if I had to say.....
If 10 is oldbie and 1 is newbie, Id be a 8...I think.
But who really cares

FatherDante 03-27-2001 11:49 AM

How many times do I have to tell you to change it to pingüino?

Tyhm 03-27-2001 11:49 AM

Nah, nah, I appreciate the sentiment, but ShadowFox didn't do all this to me. It was way before her time anyway, and my work hasn't actually improved lately...just kinda flatlined...I can't believe I have to document all these variables by hand...Notepad can't even handle it...

FatherDante 03-27-2001 11:50 AM

Why not use wordpad? :D

Tyhm 03-27-2001 12:01 PM

Yeah, I'm using Wordpad now, just not liking it because it's mad slow.

FatherDante 03-27-2001 12:02 PM

Understandable. Perhaps you might want to purchase a word processing program such as MS word or WordPerfect? I believe they usually function much faster. I'm quite satisfied with my MS word.

Lycia 03-27-2001 12:05 PM

Hmmmm, another good question to ask..

Read the thread entitled: What kind of computer do you have?
