no, etien has full set of phenix gear, dual RoW, and almost all the speed items you can get, sam has 6.555

Googi 10-14-2005 03:46 AM

I highly doubt Etien is hex editing, as he would be caught if he was. It's more likely that he's lying unless he has Cowboy Hat or some kind of speed+2 boots. Theoreticly our speeds should be, at most, the same, with me getting 1 more speed than Etien from my hat (Cowboy Hat vs. Phoenix Helmet), and Etien getting one more speed than me from his shield (Dustari Shield vs. Phoenix Shield).

Of course, the real difference is that my items weren't scammed.

Spiker 10-14-2005 03:49 AM

And he also has sam boots of haste, he showed them to me when i was going to "use" them

Googi 10-14-2005 03:51 AM

Sam Boots of Haste should put him above 6.2 unless he doesn't have Archers.

Spiker 10-14-2005 03:54 AM

He doesnt

Draenin 10-14-2005 03:54 AM

Aw. Nobody caught my joke.

Dee-nied. :frown:

I got your joke. Chuckled, abit, too!

It wouldn't surprise me if googi does hex edit his speed, yesterday i was chasing googi around bomboria with great difficulty hitting him because of the speed + lag he has, i managed to inflict typhoid on him and then i couldn't even land damage on him, the thunder sword that could easy hit him when he was super speed, missed atleast 10 times (i have -90 wc) i then had to switch to my bamboo (i then get -99 wc) and i managed to get some hits in even though i missed some.

Zero Hour 10-14-2005 05:40 PM

Googi is working on becoming a better fighter.

Yeah, you had trouble hitting me, but I wasn't moving fast, was I?

Yeah, then you typhoided me and I started moving slow. How is that evidence of hex editting?

I said that when you went slow i couldn't break your AC but i could before.

Obviously once I was typhoided and my speed was shot I put on my maximum ac gear (instead of maximum speed gear), but I would still think -90 wc would break it.

But how would you being unable to break my ac be evidence I hex edit speed. If you're trying to say that I hex editted my ac too, that would be pretty easy to detect for the server.

Hmm, i said "it wouldn't surprise me" and i felt it was curious that i couldn't hit you with -90wc where as i could before.

You can't successfully hex edit AC or WC.

However, there's a good way to tell if somebody is hex editing speed. Make a Sars Bow, shoot them and poison them. If their speed goes down from their 5.9+ to a 1.0 or lower, it's a hex edit.

Typhoid causes massive stat loss, not AC. If you're suggesting Googi has 30 dex and it's adding 10 ac, you're wrong.

20-21 = 0
21-22 = 0
22-23 = 1
[..]
[..]
26-27 = 1
28-29 = 1
29-30 = 2

So yeah, you get weak AC bonus from it. I could be alittle wrong, but I remember switching from my Sorc hammer to my Dex hammer for the speed, and remember getting an extra 3 ac bonus.

Don't complain that you couldn't hit somebody, CRAIG, you're the original AC *****. That's the only reason you could ever survive in fights, because we would have to SARS your ass down to our WC.

Craigus 10-16-2005 02:26 PM

Lol i guess it hurt after you scammed all of bosh's items and still couldn't kill me?

No, it was kindof funny. Yaknow, having better items then you and having goten them in like, a whole 2 seconds. :P

xRuffRydax 10-20-2005 01:55 AM

5.9 speed isn't speed hacking, its basically all speed items and 30 dex. Deo has the same speed and he has 30 dex + all speed items.. I've seen most of Googi's items, and i don't see how he could be speed hacking.

Draenin 10-20-2005 01:59 AM

I can get 5 speed alone just by having a RoT, Icicle, Agility Hammer, and Speed Ammy, and buffing for an additional 3 dex.

xRuffRydax 10-20-2005 02:02 AM

Well put it this way, we know Googi has maxed stats (she is the person who ALWAYS has gold keys), and ive seen her speed items (cowboy hat, speed ammy, sam or dusty boots, dual RoW, and things like that which i know for sure can get you 5.9 speed in a heartbeat..). Heh..

Splke 10-20-2005 05:56 AM

googi has dual row?

Damix2 10-20-2005 06:02 AM

Yes.

Splke 10-20-2005 06:10 AM

hawtttt

Craigus 10-20-2005 01:01 PM

6.5 speed is quite easy to get for a experienced player although most of us like other stats to :)

Googi 10-20-2005 06:28 PM

I don't have dual RoW. I have one RoW and one RoT.

Craigus 10-20-2005 08:07 PM

same speed stats though, just wont be able to carry as much weight

XGoLink 10-20-2005 08:38 PM

I remember when I had dual RoS, I replaced one for a RoT, and I got less Speed..

Draenin 10-20-2005 09:02 PM

You lost a str bonus, and chances are that you were carrying a bit of weight.

Strange, I've asked myself that question before. Both my brother and I have tried PKing Googi for no apparent reason, and she will somehow go from Bomboria to Santerran in less then 10 seconds. I always thought it was kind of suspicious, it seems a bit impossible to me.

Splke 11-10-2005 08:53 PM

You can't catch me, I'm the Gingerbread Man

Googi 11-15-2005 11:29 PM

As for how long it takes me to get from Bomboria to Santerrain, I just timed it. From Bomboria trade house to Santerrain trade house took 18 seconds.

Different thing.
He means his HTTP/FTP download speed, so downloading a file from some various Internet source would only allow him to download at 50 kbps. I assume 2.1 mibps would be ~100-150 kbps on average (sort of what I have, but it depends where the site is hosted). Megabits per second, not megabytes.
