I was hoping you would post on what I said, I appriciate the critiquing.

That depends on the system which is employed, wouldn't you agree? If the string which displays speed is only designated to display speed then there shouldn't be a problem, true? What if the string to control speed was client read-only? Wouldn't that mean that, even if the "player" altered this string the client would disregard the alteration and used the version which the server sends it as it updates? Dunno, I'm not a very good scripter, and you are, so perhaps you could give more insight.

There is no such thing. How can the client control what the player does with his memory on his machine?

Uhh... I'm pretty sure there are client read-only strings.

And you believe that these strings cannot possibly be modified?

I was under the impression that the strings in question could only be read, and that the modification of them was unpossible.

Then you have been misled. It is impossible for Graal to guarantee any kind of clientside security. How could it? All it has is a stream of ones and zeroes from the player's computer - it doesn't even know what program generated them.

Truth

Googi = the Speedhacking AFK-Laming n00b end of story.

I walk Drk's dog better then him, he said that i have proof!

OasaTor_PK 03-12-2005 06:34 PM

Googi Speed Hacks, simple. I doubt you could ever reach 8 speed, it seems very undoubtfully, and with items like wis+1 on, I doubt you could barely reach over 3.

Your speculations are pitiful.

Splke 03-19-2005 10:25 AM

Hey guess what? I speedhack alot on Graal Kingdoms, it's called Hex Editing. Duhhh. Doesn't show up unless you go over the limit (something about 9981 speed, dun member).

So, whoopie. Googi _may_ speedhack, but Denori had 5.8 speed with only 30 Dex + 2.2 in speed+ items. I DOUBT Googi hits more then 6.3, since that's the highest attainable with the best gear (I proudly represent).

Also, str raises speed regardless of how much you're carrying. 30 str is the equiv. of having no weight on you, until you hit 3250 weight. Lower str has a speed penalty starting at 220 something. :|

Possible programs to block

Artmoney
Tsearch
WPE Pro

Those are the only ones I think people would use, there are a good many amount of Hex editors out there though. :#

I have 20str and the penalty for me starts at a little over 300kg, I carry only around 280kg.

csod123 03-19-2005 10:33 PM

googi doesn't seem like the hacking type, i know what hackers are like, most of my freinds are(not that i hack) and Drk could simply be mistaken..

Chris 03-20-2005 01:41 AM

It's always the ones you'd least expect. :frown:

Maybe, but I do think Drk genuinely believes that I speedhack, mostly because I never even heard of him before he started accusing me of doing it, so I probably didn't do something to make him have a grudge against me. It's still an unreasonable accusation though.

Ziro_Vitrudestec 03-20-2005 07:44 AM

I've gone at least 7.2 speed (I REALLY think it got a little higher) with my rarest/"Best" items being Large Pirate Belt, FHoM (old standard random-alchemy one), and I guess RoT's, but (even though I now only have one) I think those are average, not rare or elite.

It's more about finding weird things to make use of.

edit: And I wasn't speed-hacking.

Crono 03-20-2005 05:05 PM

Googi is mrs.toshoes ^^

csod123 03-20-2005 07:22 PM

you may not know drk but he/she might know you.

Oh dear, I hope she doesn't press charges.

Oh, and if it's such a big deal, why don't you just ask for screenshots to be posted? She could be photoshop-ing them though, I mean, look at those professionally done diagrams!

If there is a screenshot that would prove I don't speedhack, I would, of course, post it.

Sure, take off all of your items, post speed. Put on all of your items, post speed.

And uh, I'll be looking for those nifty hex edits, so don't do that ^_^

Haha, bull****. I've had the rarest items in the game, 30/30/30 and 2.2+ speed from items alone and I got up to 6.3. You speedhacked ALL the ****ing time back then man, when you couldn't win when you were PKing you'd turn on your speedhack and run off. Haha, I think Jawgone even caught you doing it once.

Perhaps she have a good computer? You know, sometimes my speed raises strangely... I mainly have 5.3-5.6, but it raises to 5.8 sometimes. It's weird.

Having a good computer and high speed effects as well... like if you ran Graal on a powerful gaming machine, hell you'll be as fast as lightning.{Tested it on brothers computer}

Im so sorry for taking so long, but I conducted a test, speed doesnt matter due to "awsome computer" I have a hella computer, I run fast, but on my sisters computer, which is about 3 years old, the same speed. I do believe she is using a bypass.

When I had my ATI 5600 video card it was a lag fest, and I can promise you it affect my speed... Now that I have a ATI 9600Pro it's like "OMG LOOK AT HIM GO LELEL"

I guess 64MB SDR is a bit different from 256MB DDR...

Omg, Its onboard graphics, 128 ram. Mines radeon 9800 pro, 128, and it runs the same, and I also got 1gig ram, no difference, other then loading times.

Kaimetsu 03-22-2005 01:33 AM

This whole thing has already been covered. The speed of your computer can only push you under the intended speed, it can't put you above.

Yes, he's saying it can't effect speed, which I am correcting.

Splke 03-24-2005 01:17 PM

-shrugs- While the stats don't check out (20/30/xx doesn't = 5.2 on any case) there's no point in trying to prove this. Hex Edits show up in the Q menu, so it's not like I couldn't do this

You know that it's not just Dex being increased. Those items have speed+ stats too.

+3 from Speed, +5 from each RoT.

Funny thing is, that doesn't add up to 1.3+ speed. Sorry, I am the "Game Master", so to speak.

+2 from Glok Belt

And your point? Once you get 30 dex, +speed becomes minimal. From 1.0 - 2.9 it should add .1 per +1, however once you exceed the speed barrier they began to drop. The variable is uncertain, but the effects are. It drops significantly, check it yourself.

Malinko 03-25-2005 03:11 PM

Lol, she doesn't speed hack.

XGoLink 03-25-2005 04:08 PM

How can you be so sure..?
When I was pking her a while ago, she ran away.. And her speed raised.. A lot..

Yes, we all realize you use a memory editting program to alter your game speed - stop.

How is it possible for someone to start PKing her and for Googi to go "OSHT BEING PKET!" and instantly open the memory editting program, find the speed HEX values, alter them, and cruise away like Uhh... whatever that pokemon is.
