Really weird x-x

It might be a problem within the libraries and compatibility. Or could just be the version of OS X being run. I havent installed panther yet so i dont know if it work on just 10.3.1.
When I get my powerbook with the new software, ill check it on that to see if it is the OS.

peace,
doomboy00

From your console log it seems to crash just before:

Yes please test on some 10.3 version too.

The strange thing is that between the "cleaning up ..." line and the ">> Attempting to active..." line there is nothing

Also perhaps Curt's issues could be dealing with OpenGL support for video drivers or such. Perhaps also dealing with any opengl libraries that macs utilize. I'm not a fan of mac, nor do I use one often, but I know when I wanted to run Linux Graal it gave problems until I updated my vid drivers properly.

Hmmm seems to be some problem with the "Finder" now. Can you try this:
- Open a terminal
- go to the Graal folder (cd /Applications/Graal or so)
- type: ./Graal.app/Contents/MacOS/Graal

You can also post the console.log again?

I'm getting no console.log, just that error message. x_x

But did you try to start it manually like I said?
If you didn't get a console.log then it is your Powerbook that is messed up, I have read in some Mac forums that you get that error if you let your Powerbook run for a long time and then try to start new programs. Other programs still work well (even if you close and restart them) ?

I can assure you it's not my computer. It's 2 months old, and I'm on an iBook, similar but different than a Powerbook. No, it doesn't run long, and every other program on my computer runs fine.

Is there anyone else on OSX Panther that can run this successfully? I haven't heard a single person say so... :frown:

Yes but I'm new to Mac and not familiar with Unix - What exactly do I type?

When I typed the dirrectory, it gave me "unrecognized command" or something. I need some sort of command before the dirrectory - like "Open".

Not sure what to type...

Admins 02-10-2005 02:03 AM

Ok I have uploaded a version without the debug information, everything should work fine now :)

I've tried various keycodes and none work :(

The other F things work (Options, Serverlist, etc...) but that just won't work! No playerlist.

Does this occur on more than one server?

All. No playerlist anywhere. >_<

Edit: It works on Graal 3D Only :(

doomboy00 02-11-2005 11:07 PM

yep had this problem on my laptop to for about 20 minutes. The playerlist doesnt seem to allow other keys to be used even if you set them. So I simply went into
System Preferences>Keyboard and mouse>keyboard

and checked Use F1-F12 keys for custom actions.

This allows the f keys to be used in any application normally, and you hold down the fn key and tap your f keys to do the set actions such as increase the volume, the brightness etc.

If you don't wont to use this method then i dont think there is another way around it. If you find one be sure to post it here so i know of it.

peace,

Hmmm v3.1 uses a scripted playerlist which currently fixed key (F7) for the playerlist. On our Mac there are special keys for setting the volume, didn't need to go in the system settings, it's strange that the keys F1-F12 keys are used by the system :/

Curt1zzle 02-12-2005 06:33 AM

They're used for things such as minimizing, etc.

Anyways, I got it to work by setting it to the "-" key then back to the "f7" key.

However, I have to hit fn+f7, of course.

Your mac is probably a desktop which has special keys for the volume etc. But on laptops they are set from f1 through to f10 (or something similiar)

Ok, i just found a bug. Not sure about all servers, but it happens on UN. some npc's stay with you even when they should have destroyed themselves. e.g. The fairy npc from the quest, when you deliver her to her destination and complete the quest she disappears. but when you log back on she comes back. This also seems to happen in cs and when you log back in after playing cs you have the clothes stored in a flag for cs and also your ap go's down to 0. And this will keep happening when you log on until somebody on RC deletes these from your atts.

please see if you can see why this happens

Maybe it's just Graal3 but I do not see the drop down box for multiple accounts.

Can be added to Mac version yes

Btw we got more than 200 Mac players since Wednesday, Apple added Graal to their games list, http://www.apple.com/downloads/macos...egy/graal.html :)

ThinkDifferent 03-06-2005 06:14 PM

Yeah Stefan I was showing a few Apple employees graal at the last Apple seminar I was at. They took a liking to it very fast :) By the way about to send you a PM

D4rKv310c1ty 03-12-2005 01:57 AM

Nice! Im sure graal is fun to play with on mac seeing as its all stylish 'n' stuff!

D4rKv310c1ty 03-12-2005 01:58 AM

Also, I s'pose it allows more people to play this game! no matter what they're using!

Admins 03-13-2005 03:19 AM

More than 600 Mac players have tested Graal in less than 2 weeks :)

See? Me bugging you to update the Mac version pays off!

The Mac community is very tight, something good is spread by word of mouth and fansites very quickly. ^^

doomboy00 03-21-2005 09:33 PM

This is all good about more people playing graal on mac, i have noticed many more players.
Mainly by the report of hackers which people cant hit, yet i can. This is because when a mac player does not have a tag on and the person trying to hit them doesnt, it seems like the player is god moding.
This happened to me over a year ago and i nearly got banned for it,luckily some people understand mac issues (previous manager of UN Xecutor did).
Whether this is to do with the mac client or just UN i dont know, but I would like to see it resolved in time.

Thank You,

doomboy00

(not sure if this is only on UN or not)

D4rKv310c1ty 03-22-2005 01:03 AM

lol, the joys.. Is the creators of Graal french? 'Linux Cyberjouers...' Linux Cyberplayers it means..
