Firstly, anybody with eyes can see how this is going to turn out.
Secondly, even if he does help people, it won't prove that his intentions are purely noble.
Thirdly, even if my actions do conflict with your moral code, why should I care? Realise that you are not the messiah, Donald. The philosophy you preach and the attitude you advocate are void of objective worth. Justify them in debate or take them away.

I wouldn’t mind continuing this discussion but I am wise enough to know that it would go no where and that both sides would agree to nothing and as usual this thread along with many others would just end up closed. Oh and I never said I was the messiah, but im glad you think so highly of me :D.

Both of you prove your ignorance by arguing. This thread isn't called "Hey lets argue about our egos", it is about a scripting support team. Take your arguement up in pm's or just not at all.

So, you guys are just writing up documentations and creating sample scripts? I'm not clear on what specific tasks you'll be doing. I'll help out if it fits my bill.

dude, Don, if you're going to argue with Kai, formulate a decent strategy first. It's really annoying to scroll through Kai continually demolishing you in debates.

I seriously dont know why osrs didnt just post the thread...have it stickied...then closed. This does not need to be open any longer since for about 2 in a half pages all there is, is constant, unneccessary, arguments.

I do not know if you are doing this to help people or just want to become important, however I will assume that you want to help people.
I don't think we need another /.*Script.*Team/, I think its the GST's job to do that and if they don't have time for this they should find new members that can dedicate their time to this. It is, however, a good idea to do that, there aren't enugh documents for new scripters to start scripting.

On-topic: If Stefan and/or Unixmad want good documentation and tutorials for their scripting language then they should be prepared to throw up some cash. I'll wager none of the people capable of producing such things are willing to do so for free.

Actually I do the things I do for Graal purely because I enjoy the game. Its the same reason I make music, because I have a love for it. Whilst much of the world revolves around greed, as your rightly suggest, not everyone values money in the same way.

Making music is usually more fun than documenting a scripting language. Wanting to be paid for doing work isn't greedy. The kind of project we're discussing is very time-consuming and most people wouldn't bother with it unless they were being compensated for their time.

Look, if you go through with this and produce a full, well-written, useful document then I'll be happy that I was proved wrong. I just don't think it's likely.

For once, I totally agree. With all the stuff I do and then work and school, it's rather hard to pull out time. I am planning on and I've slightly started documenting the new engine a bit, but it's really hard to pull yourself apart and write the type of documents that are needed/wanted.
