Very True.

I had to read an essay for my College English 1 course on that topic.
It was a suprisingly interesting read.

I thought Gender and sex were the same thing. Like Male or Female...

Yea. I thought they were the same thing too. My Sociology class proved me wrong, though.

I often get the two mixed up. ^^

A long time ago I was one of the best on UN.

I used a combo of C style and L style. I fell victim to lack of practice, so I suck now.

Thanks for the nerd lesson Leonis

Kidding =P It was actual somewhat informative, though I learned that in psychology.

Made in 2001-2002? And by Clops? I'll have to doubt the effectiveness of that.

Sparring is tacticly moving toward the player with enough evasion and 'juking' that you open up an area in which you can move in and hit the player. Now, since I'm this new Thallen guy, no one credits me with being a good sparrer, and many believe I 'hack'. If you don't have some kind of supercool name like "Shadow" or "Exodus", people probably won't view you as a good sparrer. Oh well, I'll keep winnin', and they'll keep cryin'.

Amen, thats why when people ask me how I spar, I say "I call my method the read your headless-chicken run and counter-strike it" basically saying
I see what little crock-crap formation they run, hit where they normally would mode to be safe, they get owned. Gg

I like to hit people until they die.

Sooo out of practice though x_x

I'm kind of 'teased' a lot. It seems a lot of Graal's sparrers are these hardcore kids, or so it seems, and they can't appreciate my switch from a bad player to a good player, so every bit of skill I have is now converted into excuses, such as "he hacks" or "he lags".

haro41 08-19-2004 10:07 AM

i use the starburst formation i learned from a guy named L33t P3T3.

Kranic 08-19-2004 08:34 PM

I use a circlish kind of formation, though I still am not good. I tried learning from a guy but I don't know if it is working out.

Leonis 08-22-2004 12:51 PM

I think you should create or devise your own spar technique, rather than being taught somebody else's technique.

If you're comfortable with a technique, then use it. It only makes sense that your own style is the optimum technique for you.

It doesn't matter if you win or lose. Losing is part of sparring too.

Learn from your mistakes, and remember that you cannot win every battle you enter.

I use the zig zag. Meaning , I look like this:

\
/
\
/

I slash , I back up, I move around a bit, I slash again...

GoZelda 08-27-2004 01:22 PM

I never used any formation, heck I don't know any. I never was into the whole sparring scene, I just slashed as much as I could. (that's why I s000ked).

ReBorn_Spirit 08-27-2004 01:50 PM

heh... all you people being so silly... oh well
I think I'll just stick to my own odd circlish sparing ways.
