No. I pay to play graal kingdoms, if I cannot get access to graal kingdoms then I want money for that time.

It is completely ironic that you would mention your ISP provider failing you for a length of time
The exact thing happened to me today
I woke up at 3 pm (cause I'm an early riser)
I noticed my internet connection wasn't working
So I watched some TV for a few hours
Then I tried again and still failed to connect to the internet
I called up Cox Cable, they had the problem fixed and they said they would take a fraction of my charges off my next bill

But back to the point at hand
To my knowledge, a single person in this thread would be honestly upset if they did not get recredited with the time unavailable but paid for
And there are a lot of people that have the uncanny ability to use LOGIC (thank goodness for those kind of people)
They are the ones saying that it would be natural to assume you should be compensated for a service you paid for and did not recieve
Just because they say that, doesn't mean they are desperate for time back themselves
It means they are sane, logical beings

Getting worked up about TWO DAYS without graal is just pathetic. Know what i did when i couldnt play graal that day? I went outside, kicked a football around for a while. Then i did some exercises with my weights for the first time in ages. In other words, I DID SOMETHING ELSE. Seriously man, if you pay a solid £10 a month for internet, and your ISP is down for two days, you don't ring up and ask for 2 days worth of free internet, do you? If there's a powercut, you don't ring up and ask for 5 hours of free electricity, do you? Unless you're pathetic, the answer is no.

Seriously, the only reason i can think of why any of you would be going along with this guy and saying his request is reasonable slash demanding for two days free gold yourself is so that you can have a nice big stab at the establishment.
Ps.If that is the reason, then lol, carry on, having a stab is one of my favourite things ^^ I just think it's stupid to demand compensation for a few hours without some game as if it were a serious matter which caused you great harm.

Do you even play GK Monkeyboy? Lifting your arms to put deodarant on doesn't count as lifting weights. I've never seen you on the server. Anyway when my ISP (comcast cable) goes down I call them and they say approximately when it will be back on and I get credit for the time its down. I bought i think 182 days (6 months) of gold time so dont tell me two wont make a difference. If it happens more times those days will stack up. Oh and to those that are arguing that its only 11 cents a day to play Graal, its not about how much it costs, its about paying for it and not getting it. Thallen I think you were just jokin but I dont care about a NPC server restart. Its when the server is dead for 2 days that I go :pissed:

I do not see how not receiving a service you are paying for and requesting some type of compensation for it is in any way whiny or impatient.

It going down can become a serious issue
especially when you count on the internet as much as I do

Though it may not have said it in the contract, -I- still paid for internet access. When it goes down for one day (sometimes it does) I ring and complain. I'm not impatient, just dont have anything better to do sometimes :/

Things happen. Other games go down, players are not reimbursed.

However, with Graal, the playerbase is majorly young, creating an atmosphere where services like 24 hour server up-time is constantly in request....

I don't believe any gold time should be awarded, being that there were other GOLD servers to play on. If ALL of gold servers were down, possibly (Including hosted).

It was unfortunate, but expected with any MMORPG.

To Stefan and Unixmad, I suggest adding this into the user agreement, that any unexpected downtime is unfortunate but non-reimbursable. ;)

I dont think anyone bought gold time to play on HOSTED servers......

That would make the company look really bad if you had to agree to that. I can't see how people would not want thier time back. How about making us agree to if we have problems with our account your not allowed to get fixed. Thats what that rule would signify.

So, you're wrong there. I do occasionally enjoy a vacation on Kingdoms, but that's not my primary reason for buying Gold time.

Which is a lie, and if it isnt, then you just don't look at the playerlist that much at all, or you haven't been on at certain times.

FYI, i go on quite a lot, for short periods of time. Maybe half an hour to an hour at a time, alternating between my normal alias of LegoBomb, and my zormite tag. Unless you have me on buddy for some reason, why the hell SHOULD you see me online? I don't notice half the other players on the playerlist when i'm on.

Furthermore, i've been ontag i think 4/5 days this week, if not all 5, advertising for the mayoral elections, sometimes several times in one day. So don't you dare go implying that I'm not doing a good job, because I bloody well am.

If Lance noticed everytime I was online I would be impressed, I can't hardly expect him to notice when other players are on - on if by chance he looks and sees the name... I don't know, I think he stuck his foot into that one.

Well, I don't even have to point out the obvious - Graal is not "every MMORPG you've played." Why shouldn't Graal go the extra mile? Like I said, it would have been a nice gesture. From what I understand, though, it's a difficult one. So, there's a good chance it won't happen.

Personally, I don't see how "people bought gold access for X or Y or Z" really enters into this discussion, as it was a large part of the Graal network that was down...

I am a GK staff member, as is Jagen. I possess RC and rights on Graal Kingdoms independent from any other rights I have. I do not really care how you view me, as it does not affect what I am. Bjorn handles the events, but that does not mean that Jagen or I cannot remove an Events Master who is acting inappropriately.

Indeed. My laptop had an overheating problem, so I couldn't play graal for more than about 10 or 20 minutes at a time without my computer shutting down. In fact, I am currently backing up/copying files from it in order to have it repaired (repaired again, as last time is what caused this problem to come about).

The other servers that were down, do the players that rent them get the time back as well? It seems to me it could be too large of a problem to handle, but i'm only one person that's not worried about lost time on graal.

I also see it this way, if you did lose your internet service for a day, would you call them to get the time back AND ask them to send you a check for time missed for your online game? I just can't imagine stefan fixing all those accounts times, there are too many folks with gold and i don't know if it keeps track of who was on and who wasn't.

Not really. There's usually an event held almost every day by either me or ZH, sometimes we do one each in one day, or two each, and stuff. Right now though, we've got no flow of prizes coming our way, so we can't really hold that many events. People on GK only seem bothered about the prizes these days, not the events :frown:
