I was registered for the draft for the Vietnam war in 1973 ( I was 18) but my number didn't come up (Thank the lucky stars!) and my Father was already there with the Air Force.(He flew 100 missions over Vietnam). The draft went out I believe in the year 1975 so right now since 1975 it's all vounteer for the military. I didn't believe in that war or why we were there but I didn't run from it either. If I would have had to go I would have, but there was no way I was going to volunteer for that mess we were involved in..

We're learning about Vietnam right now in school, interesting.
