It would be good if someone could get all the resources used to make those RCs (background image, buttons, colors) so skinning could be officially added to the RC or scripted RC.

Text color change for chat still a memory hack or did you figure out how to change it permanently?

what if you made a program that opened the RC, and used the memory hack evertime you opened the RC-opening program, like a really cool shortcut?

I wouldn't trust it until it was checked over and OK'd by Angel perhaps, but it sounds like you could just make your RC shortcut point to that program instead.
