in a side by side comparison they do actually look a lot different T___T

:) I found working solo works alot better and faster... with the acausal scripter here and there ;) but I'm getting more done, Im really trying to make it nice, I am working on a really good christmas release, or maybe before christmas but it will be fun.:D

He did a comparison of the most different tiles on Era.
Those tiles from Era weren't originally made for Era, and aren't the tiles that are majorally used.

Maybe I'll go onto Era and get a snap.

Me? I tried to take a snap of the most compareable tiles I could..The building, grass (or in this case, snow), street, and sidewalks. They look different to me, but I see where Lance was trying to get at..

That's not what he said at all. He's saying come up with a playerworld style that doesn't already exist as a Graal server. It's simple, we already have a decent (arguable) modern playerworld server. There are so many other styles you could come up with, but you are selling yourself short by not being original and copying the style of another playerworld.

There are many forms of pixel art, as there is many of other different art genres. If I was to copy a peice by a famous artist, style, colors, strokes, and even outline would that not be a blunt rip off? Pixel art is art, so you have to be creative in order to accomplish something in the pixel world. :[

Alot of new modern playerworlds are coming out, and alot of them are pretty good.

They all are very insteresting and well-developed, except sadly Zone has quite a few of Era's more.. questionable staff working on it.

Anyway, i see alot of good new playerworlds coming out, for one i saw a server that is supposed to be set in a dark gothic RP world, Macabre or something, and the good thing is it's actually dark, the tilesets have things like holes and broken and messed up walls and such, and it's really creepy.
I hope it goes far, it would be cool to see a Bloodlust 2d online game.

Anyway, the idea of this server is a bit unique, just because there is a server with modern graphics and all you do is kill, shouldn't mean a person can't make one with totally different graphics, and a sims kind-of style. If you log on his server you will see "The Non-Violent Modern Server"

I was mainly talking about the ones Emily mentioned and a lot of those other ones. There are exceptions man. :) I really look forward to EoA...It will be the only reason I ever open the Graal Client again unless something even more fantastic comes around.
Yes, I know some of you guys are really trying your hardest. I'm just saying the majority of those purchased worlds are not and will never make it out of private.

Some aren't that good as they lack a development team. But recent inspections over playerworlds has made me happy as there is alot of good stuff out there. So they will be public, don't worry.

Andor's OOC world with events, NPC's, all that classic stuff is done. And the RP world has already been uploaded and is being done fast, log on it.

And maybe Zone, Ai Crest, Archaic, and all of them will be ready for public soon.
