By new things I mean the kingdoms need to be completely redone. Same basic idea is fine, but the levels and/or way the kingdom is run need to be refined. Also, new hats would be alright but make them free again. People complained about the economy, well then only make money useful for quests and other things aside from items. New quests would be nice...

Most of what you just said will happen. We're not using the old levels, but there will be an economy. New quests as far as I know.

The members make the kingdom not the name. So you're not planting a new tree... you're cloning it.

No players mean no server. It's kind of like the Government isn't the President's government.

Montague, look at it this way, there's only so much you can see from a forums post. Trust me, you'll find SOME kingdom you like. And if you don't, Mr. Montague, then lobby to get a fourth formed. It may happen. But the fact is, we choose these Kingdoms for balance. It will work out. If you don't like it, suggest changes or leave.

Because Montague, they obviously all wanted a Samurai kingdom last time. what with the total lack of members or intrest. As for Signas, Montague, he was chosen for what he did on 2k1, not what he did on Era. Beleive it or not, people change. Apparently, not you. You're still just as close minded.

A lot of people have done stuff for 2k1. That doesn't mean you will get rewarded for it. Hell, Tseng said that he would never in his life give me RC on 2k1 despite the fact that Kramer wanted to make me asst gfx for the server. The only way to get a job on ANY server is to suck up or be friends with the person UNLESS someone actually needs a person with talent.

I am not flaming him. You are claiming that he deserves to be the leader of a kingdom and I have yet to see proof about it. He is welcome to talk to me on AIM. My screenname is not hidden from the public. Again, just because you created the kingdom doesn't mean you are obligated to become the king.

You replied to my post from nappa asking people not to flame him and replied that the same should be done about signas as if I were flaming him. Or I could be wrong and you were talking to Zurkiba...

Let's address some things here and hopefully straighten them out

1) Valder and RC on 2k1: I will never give Valder RC on graal2001. Frankly, I don't like his attitude. His presence would be detrimental to the rest of the staff. That is my decision as Manager, and if you do not like it, that is too bad.

2) The kingdoms were chosen out of the ones submitted. These were the best 4. We were satisfied with these. If you wanted better kingdoms, you should have submitted them.

3) Infernal Legion: Infernal Legion was going to be chosen, but was pulled for already-explained reasons (balancing issues). [sarcasm]Yes, it's really a good idea to have an all-powerful kingdom that can morph into other creatures and go to their secret base from anywhere, at night! And not being able to go in churches? Wow, that really balances all their overpowered strengths![/sarcasm]

4) Signas' Leadership Role in Malenth: It pretty much goes with the idea. And while Signas can occasionally be childish, he also is a rather good Roleplayer. Perhaps you have forgotten that he was once Commander Herron Shade of Dustari? He would not have acquired that position if he was not a good RPer.

5) Graal2001 hiring in general: I explained before - it is a closed hiring system at the moment. We have as many staff as we need. If the occasion arises that we need more, I ask someone who either a) used to work here, or b) I know the skills + qualities of that person.

6) What the people want: People don't know what they want - it's rather obvious. Tyhm illustrated that rather well with his creation of Graal1998/Graal2000. He made it apparent that the people, who thought they wanted the old levels, really did not want the old levels but the community that existed back then. Besides, this is not a democracy, nor should it be.

7) "Our Server": This is not a democracy. We do not elect a president. This is a dicatorship, and I and James are your dictators. With regard to kingdoms, Gryffon is the dictator. For all purposes, when choosing the kingdom, yes, it is "our server."

8) Lack of Infernal Legion meaning no wars: How about...that is completely wrong? Infernal Legion did not exist for the longest time, yet Dustari and the Pirate Crew were at odds repeatedly throughout history.

I've got a tip for you guys, Zurkiba and Valder. Before you post, think to yourself: "Do I have any idea what I'm talking about?" And, until the answer is yes, refrain from posting.

I admit that I can get steamed, but that doesn't mean my attitude is like that all the time. You can ask anyone that I have worked with. I am very fun to talk to and if I have a problem with you I will adress it. "That is my desicion as Manager, and if you don't like it, that is too bad." That sounds a lot like the old managers of 2k1's attitudes about hiring staff...

You also stated that you wanted new kingdoms. These may be "new" but they are the old kingdoms with new ideas. You could have just kept the old kingdoms in and just had people come up with new things for them.

I understand this and am talking with Signas on AIM. I never intended to attack him, but Gryffon is stuck on the idea that your decisions are always right and shouldn't be contested.

I wanted to help 2k1 because it was my favorite server. I still love 2k1 and will play the server regardless. Why would you hire old people anyway. You should get fresh new faces to join your staff and add a little spice to the server.

That's not true. We are the ones that play this game and should be the ones that make some of the desicions. By not letting players decide what they want you are only making it so people don't want to play the server. It is in fact "our server."

Well, again, these are brief descriptions...that isn't a lot to go on. I wanted to keep an old 'feel' to the kingdoms, but have something new. (In other words, not just put the same old levels with a new name like someone-who-i-will-get-flamed-if-i-mention did). There are aspects to kingdoms (such as Malenth) which cannot be mentioned - it will ruin half of the surprise and RP if I were to share the full details. It is rather like a medieval kingdom, but there is a lot more to it than that...

I'm one of those people who doesn't trust others very easily. That's who I am; I naturally will tend to want to work with people who I already know the abilities and qualities of, instead of taking a risk. And as I said before - I am willing to give you a chance, in time. But, to be perfectly honest, we aren't in great need of many new staff at the moment.

Well, I was speaking in general; but specifically, I don't hire people who are my friends - For the most part I have been hiring people who I've had experience working with in the past; that is the closed hiring system I explained earlier. However, I suppose I did not explain my main reasoning:

-They are familiar with the server
-They are familiar with how things work
-They are familiar with how I work

Not sexist. I just think that Ballasera would be best fitted by having a woman that is a GOVERNESS, not a queen. It just seems better if you did that IMO.

Still, favoring someone for a job or position because of gender when it's not absolutly needed is sexism. It's not absolutly needed that Bellasera have a female Roi, but that's not to say it must be a male Roi, either. Whoever is beleived best for the job will receive it if they agree to the responsibilities it includes.

I find the "4 best kingdoms" thing hard to belive. Considering only 1 is original, and 3 are "hi we're like old kingdoms but we're not."

As everyone else basically said, Kaitou seems like the place to be. It fits my character. But if I had my choice, I'd still like to be in a small band of Orc's destroying whole kingdoms. People had the most fun when the Orc's were around.

We had about 11 submissions for Kingdoms. Those were the best four. Simple.

And it's not that, i'd be fine if the kingdoms submitted were better (and probabally be thinking "why didn't I think of that? Grr.") But the fact that kingdoms that probabally took 3 seconds to think about beat everything else kind of ticks me off.
