Stefan, I don't think it's the indexing. I tried turning it off by right clicking my C drive and disabling it but it didnt work. Even when I restarted and tried it again. I have windows XP as well but it takes me over a minutes to open, maybe 3 minutes. e.e;

XP is the worst so far in the windows line of operating systems. I'd prefer the blue screen of death to the incredible ammounts of lag that I get off of XP.

I don't get any lag at all from XP.

He did hehe. Until I fixed his computer. He gets a bit still, it requires too much to run.

I use XP and everything runs fine on it i just need to buy a better video and sound cards

What do you guys recommend? Because I play of lot of games on my computer. (i.e. Graal, Counter-Strike, WC III, etc.)

Close out all the stuff in your system tray (by the clock) except your anti virus stuff and the stuff you need, works great for me :)

Sound card doesn't really matter; pick up a Hercules Gamesurround Fortissimo III 7.1 for around $40 if you really want a new sound card that bad.

As far as video cards go you have to decide price / performance ratio. In my opinion probably the best video card in the price / performance ratio is the ATI Radeon 9600 Pro, which is around $178 on www.newegg.com. AGP8x, DX9 spec, will play all existing and all future games for the foreseeable future more than adequately at high resolutions with antialiasing and anisotropic filtering enabled. :)

I had the same problem with my GeForce 4 lol. I updated it from the company I got it from and it was fine :)
The Graphics card it self lagged my Graal but nothing else.
