lol the only way I would go to some convention is if it was at most 2 miles away from me. Conventions are probably THE worst idea there is because people are spread all over the world and there would only be about what 20 people there at most.

There have been multiple (unofficial) German graalian conventions been already, organized by Atlantis players. I was not there, but as far as I know, they hardly did anything graal related :p
I do not know many German graalians very well, so I would prefer to meet 2k2 people, but, well, America :(
I suggest all you people get your exact coordinates and calculate the "average" of it, which would then be the place where you should meet. (Do not calculate people from other continents in there or you'll have to buy a big ship or something)

I suggested this a while back. But if you people whine over the prices of gold accounts, why will you buy a plane ticket to go to some building with the other Graal peoples? o.o

And why should it be in the US? Why should all of those German people come over here just for us? Personally, if there is a convention then I'd rather have it in Paris. It's forgein to most of us and it'd be better than meeting in Geno's Garage.

Stefan probally wouldn't come because there'd be someone going "YO STEF, WAZZUP?!?!. CAN I GET A BLOOD RING ON 2k2?"

Then of coarse you have to think of events. One day isn't long enough, a week would be better for international causes, because I highly doubt Stefan and Unix will come to the states for a day and just leave.

I was talking to Lyndzey sometime last year about something like this. Instead of having one big convention to where it is at the convence(sp?) of a few people (If it's in IL I'll have to pay 300-500 for air fares, The people in Flordia would have to pay more), why not have regional conventions?

The MC would be in charge of setting everything up. And it would be in the city/state with the most Graal players. (EX: South -> Flordia, North -> Pensylvania, West -> California, Mid-West -> Illinos). So then people can choose which city is closest to them.

Though this would make the numbers much less, there could be a webcam uplink to all of the buildings.

Idea: Lets all just buy Webcams ($40) and we can meet over the internet... yey. That's 10x (or 30x) cheaper than any plane ticket. Because we're never going to choose where to have the city.

Differnt Graalains go to Europe to play a gameshow. They gain money by doing differnt tasks which involve teamwork.
But what they dont know is... WHO IS THE MOLE?

Regional and National
 

I have an idea, setup Regions and then a National. Much like the time zones, East Coast, West Coast, Midwest and so on. Appoint Chairmen to preside over that region, this person will coordinate all activities in that area. Then once a year or every 2 years, whatever have a National Convention. There would also need to be a National Chairmen as well as Regional ones. Regional Conventions would be held on a more frequent basis and the members of that region would vote on when and where as Nationals would be done the same way. BUT all this would have to be funded; each member would have dues much like a Union to coordinate the efforts for the Meeting places and the like.

This would be a massive undertaking to even start but something to think about. Counties could also apply this to overseas, and then like every 5 years have an International Convention, where all Members are involved. Dues would go to cover cost of the place to have it as well as all the Administrative work that will also have to be done. This would be much like setting up a business and a lot of hard work by not part-time but Full-time employees, it would be necessary to have full-time people working all year long to get something like this to work. Anyway this is just a suggestion and only part of the details that would have to be worked out.

Because nobody is going to pay for plane tickets to go to Sweden and back just so they can go to a Graal convention.

For a big International Convention it would be the most logical place, afterall it is Graal's home. But really only a small percentage would be able to go to Paris.

$100-800 for a flight, not to mentiona ccomendation and food and transport while there, also another thing. If your under 16/18 you cant travel without someone over that age to come with you! Which means the price has doubled.

Yeah Graal needs to be like 2-3 times the size it is now before something like that were planned.

We'd need a LOT of people to come, or else it would be pointless. By the way, the majority of Graal's playerbase is in the United States, and under the age of 18, and can't fly to Europe for a convention, so holding it there is ridiculous. Having 2 guys come to the United States would be easier than having tons of people fly to Europe.

Graal would need a playerbase like the size of Evercrack. Evercrack holds conventions and sells mad crazy expensive souvenirs there. Like dragon statues and figurines and stuff. Graal's only merchandise is mugs and t-shirts and mousepads. (I never even got my mug -_-)

If I'm going to spend over $1,000 to go to a Graal-con, then it best be in some forgien city =x. I'm not going to go to some place in America and listen to Karsh talking about random stuff. I'd rather go to Paris... take a tour, have a fun time, and then go listen to Karsh.

How about this... instead of havingii a Graal-con in a city, why not at DISNEY WORLD. The events would allready be planned out. Just ride the rocking roller coaster untill you puke, we can see who can chug the most drinks the fastest. And we can gang up on Micky Mouse and beat the crap out of him.
